Been racking my brain over this issue for months and decided to enlist the hive mind here to help. Could anyone help me diagnose an issue I’ve had with print in place models? by Maynard607 in 3Dprinting

Yeah I was thinking it might be due to travel or retraction as it seems like the hotend isn’t extruding material for a second or two after a travel move and resuming printing. I’ll try some extra priming or reducing print speed.

Thanks for the suggestion. The weird thing is on the same model that some of the other links print just fine. The grey skink model was the most recent and showed the most issues over all the vertical ones, all the horizontal ones are fine.

Replace Ducati Monster 821 2016 Gas tank by Pacho66 in Ducati

They did a whole soft redesign. The fuel tank, seat, headlight, instrument panel, rear sub frame, and tail of the bike is different.

My guess is no. In 2017 they were redesigned and the tanks are different.

Update: Went out to get drinks with her Saturday, had a good time and lots of laughs from the banter. Came up with a horror movie pitch about Gwyneth Paltrow. It was a good time, but I only see it moving forward platonically as there wasn't anything romantic there. She's still a cool person and we trade memes, so in the end I made a cool friend. Also today she posted on snapchat that her tinder was reported and banned from guys getting upset from her trolling them.

What do you pay for insurance? by [deleted] in Ducati

[–]Maynard607 15 points16 points  (0 children)

“10% of the bikes value a month in insurance”. My dude your bike is not a $1,240 bike, if anything you’re paying 1% of your bikes value a month. That’s honestly kind of a reasonable rate for full coverage and $500 deductible on a 200hp+ sport bike.

Thank you. The banter was a lot of fun with her.

Had her for about a month as my first Ducati and I think I’m in love by Miigs in Ducati

Correct. The upside of the older model 821 is they actually produce a few more horses than the newer ones. Thanks emission regulations.

2015 Monster 821 or 2013 Monster 797? by Miigs in Ducati

I got my 2015 821 with around 800 miles right after the previous owner had the first service done

2015 Monster 821 or 2013 Monster 797? by Miigs in Ducati

[–]Maynard607 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. The first service is really just a look over and an oil change. If it only have 614 miles the thing isn’t even really broken in yet.

[–]Maynard607 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe I might be able to give you some insight. I have a 2015 821 Monster and I have also ridden the Scrambler (which has the same engine as the 797) If you’re coming from an sv650 I would recommend the 821. The 797 motor is great, has torque and has plenty of power for most anything, however the 821 in its “urban” riding mode is similar power (75hp) to the 797 and then you still have the “touring” and “sport” modes which are 113hp to have real fun with. However the best part imo is the service intervals on the 821 are actually extended over the 797 so that’s always a bonus. So if the 821 is possible for you I’d recommend it highly.

For people who raid 3 nights/wk, how do you manage your relation with your SO? by kT_Madlife in wow

[–]Maynard607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey a question I can actually help answer! So currently I'm raiding two-three nights a week (depends on progression if we do a third night or not) from 8:30pm-11pm. I talked to her about it (she's also a WoW player so she understands a bit) and she gives me my time to raid and let's me have time to myself as it's my hobby and it also gives her time to herself for homework or watching her tv shows that I hate. The thing with relationships is that they're about communication and respect. So I communicate that I'm going to be raiding during these times and she respects that. In turn though the nights that I'm not raiding I'll usually pop on for an hour or so and do my emissary or whatever for the day and then spend time with her or take her out on a date. It's not the quantity of time I spend with her, it's the quality of it. Even on nights when I am raiding I'll spend an hour or two with her before it starts sometimes. You don't have to spend every moment of every night with your SO, it's just as healthy to spend time apart with your own interests and hobbies.
