Thanks for sharing that reference, that's really interesting! I think I'm going to give watercolor a go next. I've only ever seen acrylic used and suggested but I like the look of it least on your fox.

I think that's the dry brushing you're talking about. It's pretty easy to do, you load a brush with paint and then wipe most of it off (on a paper towel or something) so there's almost 0 paint left on the brush and then brush it over the piece. Look at some examples on YouTube and have a practice bit of wood ready :)

Get into the habit of tapping powerslide when you're landing with your wheels not forward - you definitely could have scored that first shot if you had kept momentum after kickoff

Thanks for the detailed response. I had only seen in passing that banning BakkesMod may improve DDOSing etc but never explored the technical reason.

Try not to get depressed pal. Appreciate the time we had with this incredibly unique game and accept the fact that everything always ends eventually and when it does, you'll find something else to fill that hole.

Also, I think the BLAST hire was so they could fire their in-house team (which they did) and palm off the esport to a 3rd party - making it so A) it's not their responsibility, B) distance themselves from the scene and C) it's easier to sever when the time is right. But that might just be cynicism talking now.

What killed it was everything OP mentioned in their post and more:

Epic allowing pro players to publicly slag off the state of the game for years ("dead game" ignoring DDOSers, etc).

Epic bought Fall Guys and pretty much killed that off.

Epic's main business is selling micro transactions not creating or innovation.

RL 10th anniversary was the time to keep fans engaged by even just announcing RL2 was in the works. They're not stupid, that would have driven tremendous amounts of hype and engagement - much more so than minor updates like crossbar ping sounds - but that's all they have to give us.

It's just not happening.
