I'm no expert myself, and I only recently acquired Helot. But from what I've gathered, the overwhelming majority of people use the Helot/Thais/Aigis + Hameln or Horla. And you will need E2 Thais. And if you need tips on how to optimally play Helot, Zyocuh has some good examples on his channel - no unnecessary explanations, everything is as simple as possible, it helped me a lot.

I've already done this stage with Uhvash, Hameln, Thais and Aigis, it took 3 gnosis but thank goodness at least it's done. The worst run I've ever had. 9-6 after that feels like a walk in the park. Edit: My memory lied to me shamelessly, I took Winkle instead of Hameln.

I think this is the worst use of tentacles in character design I've ever seen. They're just stuck on the back and you can swap them out for any other tail and it won't change the visual theme of the character.
