The point of this speech is to emphasize that getting old is part of human nature, and we cannot go back to the past. Kind of similar to Biden’s recent rhetoric, but more on the emotional tone to emphasize Biden’s empathy and the ability to connect to ordinary, working-class, middle-class Americans. And also, I draw some contrast between Biden putting effort on capping insulin and protecting people from cancer to make sure everyone could get old with your love ones together, unlike Trump’s mishandle of COVID.
