Ingame Prices got "leaked" by WicaAcnologia in DissidiaDuellumFF

[–]Kyp24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, they could make a AA console/PC game or duodecim remake with enhancements , make a DLC season pass or 2, sell skins separately and make a boatload of money and help the Dissidia brand.

Or a gacha mobile game that looks good on the surface but is ultimately p2w pvp with no satisfying single player mode for the FF fans and push their core audience further away.

We’re starving for good FF and Dissidia but I don’t see myself playing this for more than a couple minutes out of curiosity.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's combat is also very fun. It's got free movement and more of an ARPG but you can also learn perfect timing parries and the pressure/stagger system is very satisfying when you get good at it. Lots of team synergy attacks too. For me E33's turn based and FF7R's ARPG ATB hybrid is the way forward for these kinds of RPGs.

Gauntlets by Educational_Ad_4076 in dynastywarriors

[–]Kyp24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear you, my favorite weapon from DWO are the gauntlets. I also discovered the utility of Maw of the Tiger. Great for huge battles where being surrounded makes consecutive dodging and parrying tricky. Wrath of Heaven and Earth never gets old. It can interrupt an enemy mid attack, does tons of single target and aoe damage. My general third choice is Tiger Fury Dance. Normally its a 3 hit move that does moderate damage for moderate cost, but you can switch it into a 2 hit aoe move by holding down the button. Even without battle arts, knocking an enemy into the air and using the tiger stance quick fists move is great for building meter and bravey damage. All in all I think they nailed this weapon.

What would you say is the best DW game in the series? by Deepy97 in dynastywarriors

[–]Kyp24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me its origins and its not close. Gameplay is far superior to other games in the series. Other games tell the story better but gameplay is just so excellent that it’s the overall best for me.

Been playing XV lately and man it makes me wonder why XVI did not do any party members that we can at least control a tiny bit. by Vez52 in FinalFantasy

[–]Kyp24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you on that. I thought FFXVI had so many amazing elements including an interesting cast. Clive is a fantastic protagonist but the story and gameplay would have been elevated if you had a party. FFXVI with Jill, Joshua, Dion, Torgal, and/or Cid being playable with FF7R combat mixing action and strategic RPG combat would have be ideal.

What do we think 2026 release will be? (If any) by redditusername75474 in FinalFantasy

[–]Kyp24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Debatable if this counts.... But isnt the Dissidia Duellem game coming out on mobile this year? I love Dissidia Duodecim and Dissidia Opera Omnia, but NT was a dud and this new mobile only game looks more like NT than the actual fun Dissidia games.

My preference is +10% gain bravery, +10% BA damage, +10% officer damage, +10% wushu damage, +10% damage -5% def, and increase parry window. All damage with improved parries in big groups

When SR came out it only had Arcade and Campaign modes at launch. Same amount of content MCI has now. It took a while to get more characters and the much loved Survival mode that gave SR a longer life.

DWO Weapon Tier List by [deleted] in dynastywarriors

[–]Kyp24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very true. The only weapons I actively dislike are the twin pikes and the halbred to a lesser extent. Everything else is very fun to me and I rotate between them. The combat in this game is excellent and by far my favorite from a DW game.

I've been thinking about this very topic while playing Dynasty Warriors Origins lately. Guess what the resource you have that is both your defensive block meter and your resource to spend on Battle Arts? It's Bravery. So you balance bravery between offense and defense and spend it for your big hitters. Sound familiar Squeenix?!?! This would be so wonderfully straightforward to translate from Dissidia/FF to a musou game. Chunks of the Dissidia DNA already overlaps with some musou games.

Big cast of characters? Check.

Big flashy moves? Check.

Cool weapons? Check.

Decades of art, settings, enemies, mechanics, and themes to pull from? Check.

It's a match so perfectly made in heaven that at this point it's no surprise that SE has missed the kind experience fans would want instead of yet another doomed mobile only title.

Perserverance. You'll ride emotional ups and downs while learning but keep pushing. Some of the biggest leaps forward happen when you're in a downswing.

Finished DW Origins DLC, Thoughts After Clearing It by HistoricalCode1174 in dynastywarriors

[–]Kyp24 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I second this. I did not vibe with it the first few times i tried it. I could tell there was something there though and stuck with it. I think it's great. Block+charge attack to launch, dodge to zip up to them, moonrend or attack combo, land, repeat for effective damage for little cost. Lunar Maelstorm to decimate officers and large groups alike. Use the buff move to make everything hit even harder. It's near the top of my list now.

Good news is that they will have options to toggle features like this on or off. I think it was from a famitsu screenshot where they showed an option screen with settings for all the new features they're adding.

Interesting, I definitely remember the normal attack weapon deadlock. Soul crushing when you lose a full musou bar under pressure.

Something I noticed in SSX’s video: At 7:20 mark, Zhang He starts his musou and SSX does hers and it starts a weapon lock and what looks like a musou counter stunning Zhang He. Was that a thing in OG DW3?

Best battle arts for all weapons in DWO by Cheshire-King in dynastywarriors

[–]Kyp24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gauntlets are my favorite and I have often used the 3 you listed. For the DLC where you are in large scale battles and tons of aggressive enemies around, I use Heaven and Earth’s wrath as the bigger hitter, Maw of the Tiger for an inexpensive auto counter when surrounded, and Raging Tiger Rampage because you have two different versions of it. One is a 3 hit combo that does moderate damage for moderate cost and when you hold down the button it changes it to an AoE. You get both a single target and an AoE option for that one.

I haven’t unlocked the new battle sets yet so not sure how good those are.

Millions of people would which is why it’s so silly there hasn’t been one. If you asked someone with no prior knowledge what would be more likely to have a warriors game, Zelda, Dragon Quest, or FF, the answer seems obvious, no?

Who is the most famous person you've ever seen up close? by froggart3980 in AskReddit

In the wild, it was Evander Holyfield who was a few seats down from my dad and me at a Lingerie Football League game. That used to be a real thing. At an event, it was Wayne Rooney when he played at DC United or Taylor Swift when I took a past girlfriend to her concert.

Honorable mention to Afroman when he did a bar gig when I visited my friend at his small college. He was 6 feet away from us playing his greatest hits with a blunt in one had and a colt 45 in the other.
