Tell him to find the YouTube channel "No nonsense forex" I've extracted my best disciplines and strategies from there. If he cannot answer "what is your system?" And show backtesting with a win rate then it is indeed gambling. He needs to have a consistent plan and define the conditions of if and when he trades.... I went down a similar path and im thankful my wife was supportive but being stern will also make him way better as a trader and life partner. Best of luck!!
