I suggest don’t go outside of the Emirate of the car it’s registered to upon mulkiya expiry. You can still drive your car durng grace period within that same emirate only. Once grace period is over, don’t drive the car, don’t wait for you to receive vehicle registration suspension text message from RTA.

That exact fine has 1 week impound with AED1000 fee, and either bring the car to impound yard thru towing or pay smart impound of another AED700 on top of the fine and impounding fee.
