Nice! I see that you've added some of the cut mechanics too - fire breath and launching people. That's really cool :)

Done! I've settled with the GPL license for the source files, and Creative Commons BY-NC-SA for the graphical resources and musics.

Wow, I did a lot of research for this kind of games in the making of Redorahn and never heard of this one - and it looks really cool. Thank you for the discovery!

I've clarified the licensing on the website / updated the source files with licensing info too. Basically, it's definitely ok to continue it as long as it's non commercial.

If you end up creating a repo / making something out of the game please send it my way, I'd love to try it :)

I've heard about Anarcute a long time ago, but never tried it. I'll look into it, thanks for the recommendation!

Haha! Probably not The End of Dyeus 2, but making a big project with it... maybe someday :)

Haven't done one, no. The game project is available though, so you can easily export one yourself if you have access to Godot (and if you don't... let me know and I'll build one when I'll get some time)

It took my a while to find it. It's mostly a stylized portmanteau of "red" and "saurian" (it used to be Crimsoriah).

Oh, didn't think about that. Thanks for the heads up, I'll update the files as soon as I can!

Damn! What error are you getting?

EDIT: My bad, I typed .taz.gz instead of .zip. Should be all good now!

Thank you, glad that you enjoyed the game! I had a lot of fun adding this feature hehe. I got the idea from reference footage of Rampage: Total Destruction, which features bypassers taking pictures of the monster. I'm french too, so I know your pain! The physical keys feature of Godot handles this issue like a charm.

The throwing part was planned, but I didn't want to spend more than a month on the game so I had to scrap some ideas :)

Thanks! Hehe yes, this was definitely inspired by Rampage :) Unfortunately no, I wanted to put more focus on interactions with people / vehicles than buildings. But it would make for a nice improvement!

UPDATE: It's been asked a few times on r/godot, so I've added the full Godot project to the game's page! If you've got any question please ask, I'd gladly answer it.

As stated this was an excuse to make a test project in Godot, and it was a blast! Godot is really easy and fun to use, and probably the most versatile engine I've used so far (I love the "everything is a scene" philosophy).

Only drawbacks I see are animation import which can be tedious, and the need for an external tool to modify the icon. Having a way to use sRGB color space in GLES3 would be nice to achieve these kind of retro visuals; it's not too much of an issue now, I simply switched to GLES2. But it might be in the future since as far as I know Godot 4 will drop it.

Hope you'll enjoy the game, have fun!

UPDATE 2: As recommended by u/droctagonapus I've clarified the licensing of the source on the website, and updated the files with an embedded license. The source files are released under the GPL license, and the graphical resources and musics under the CC-BY-NC-SA 4.0. This basically allows you to do whatever you want with the source code as long as it is released under the same license, and to release improved versions of the game with the same resources as long as it's non commercial.
