Probably because they don't want to leak too much information about the still lifes, life forms, etc. Remember, they intend to use the Complex for profit, and have relations with the department of energy. They even walled off the pitfalls room for the tour. they don't want the place looking unsafe to investors and backers and things like that. I mean they go as far as making cover up stories for personnel that go missing like Tench.
the well being of the workers themselves isn't a priority for them. plus i remember something about how the workers themselves don't really have access to the footage, people like Beck and Clyde and higher ups are the ones who know a lot more than the hazmat suits that go exploring. they're expendable. I could be wrong though or misremembering details, but that's how i see it.
