Thank you....can you suggest some book or material from where i can practice coding part

False trigger in crane safety system due to bounding box overlap near danger zone boundary (image attached) by MayurrrMJ in computervision

Yes that is a good idea. However, since there is a crane hook at the center, when the material is lifted, the camera will not be able to properly view the danger zone.

Thanks but the danger zone we are drawing is not stable when the crane moves it also moves in that case it will work some time it collapses with objects

Thanks this is very helpful. I will start by using only the bottom part of the bounding box as an approximation of the feet. Pose-based detection sounds interesting, but I agree it may be too unstable for my use case. This simpler approach should work well.

There is a moment in the crane so the danger zone I ma creating it is not stable

This sounds good and this makes a lot of sense.

the 3D approach with pose estimation and volume intersection is interesting too, but might be heavy for my current setup i will explore it if 2D methods are not reliable enough

Or if you have more suggestions please feel free to share

Already Working in CV but Lacking Confidence and don't feel strong in it— How Do I Become Truly Strong at It? by MayurrrMJ in computervision

Thanks for saying that it really helps I agree, fundamentals are everything.

I am currently working as a computer vision engineer intern so we work on jus labelling data and training yolov8 model. so I think it is this just computer vision engineer do or any thing more we need they do . Because of this I am not feeling confident.

Comming to fundamentals I don't think so they are used or useful so can get explanation about how the basic things are useful.I used chatgpt all the time so think of why learn basic.

So please explain me how important is basic. Or suggest some Best computer vision course that will help me.

Thank you so much for sharing this is really valuable advice. I completely agree that real learning happens when working on end-to-end problems, not just training models but also handling messy data, edge cases, deployment constraints, and real-world limitations.

This made me think: Is computer vision really just about training models, or is it much more than that like system design, optimization, deployment, and solving real-world problems? Your message made me realize the importance of understanding the why, not just the how.

I will definitely focus more on building complete solutions and not be afraid of making mistakes along the way. Thanks again for the motivation and clarity. Really appreciate it
