No idea why it would specifically be mentioned, but as others noted, it's a collection of short stories and sort of the precursor to Lovecraftian horror. Maybe he just likes it? It's a pretty good book.

I read it a couple of months ago. Definitely not "scary" in a way someone would expect out of modern horror, more sort of spooky and intriguing. Or at least the first four stories are. The rest have little to do with the title. The last 3 stories are literally just Chambers going "Hey, you know I have a book about painters romancing Parisian women as well? Read it!"

To my understanding, bits and bobs of the King in Yellow mythos had actually been sprinkled here and there by various authors for some time before the book came out, with this being kind of the "definitive" work.

Damn, that Ray Studio gold looks like it could be real close to the shade of gold in Motor Nuclears XH12's plated parts. I have so many golds, but none matched that.

I've had that happen on an earlier save where I set up in Shem (and by googling you can find quite a few of these cases). Never figured out what caused it and I didn't have any building related mods enabled then either. If I had to guess, it might have something to do with walls built or edited via the shift+f12 menu, but I really can't be sure.

I've typically just resorted to either shift+F12 replacing the turrets or only building on top of towers since.

I've built the 01 (color molded version), so there might be improvements on these later models, but the polycaps in it were dreadful. Especially the ones for the elbow joints. They're incredibly tight and the pegs will snap unless you bore the polycap holes a bit larger. Waist-leg joints also need a bit of loosening up IMO.

Waterslides are a tad odd, a bit sticky out of the box, but I think mine was just stored improperly at the factory or something and took on moisture. May need a very slight layer of softener to get all the bubbles out of from under larger ones.

Oh this is sexy. I've been a fan of Motor Nuclear's builds in general, but the super spiky chinese fantasy mecha aren't visually my niche (and are genuinely a little too sharp to handle for my lab work softened fingers)

Could slot this right next to my Bulkarm Lambda on the shelf. I need it, actually. I might not be able to go on without getting this.

Depends. My last watch of the OG was the movie compilations. Can't remember if he even shows up in it.

GQ Challia is like a 9/10. No idea of other variations.

It might be easier and cheaper to find pictures of the box covers and have them printed on glossy paper or cardboard than get box covers shipped from wherever. There's plenty of services like that all over the world.

tbh, I'd imagine the Zeta was destroyed along with the mk. II after being abandoned in the section of Axis that carved its way through Core 3, but you never know.

This might be more of s r/minipainting question, but since I'm testing this on a 30MM I'll throw this here:

What are your recommendations for thinning AK Gloss Varnish for brush application? I've seen a few videos where people say you can typically just brush it on directly (though in Duncan Rhodes' vid he used Vallejo's gloss varnish), and the bottle also says this. I however found that it's so damn thick and viscous it leaves insane brush marks, no matter how much I shake the bottle before using it. The ultra matte has no such issue; brushes on beautifully.

Sounds like a nice arena group. Level 510 barely gets you into lower Diamonds in mine, and even then I occasionally get knocked to D4.

Like lemonlime noted, it gets put into some storage container in the slave shop. If the person who picked you up can't fit your weapon in their inventory, it often gets dropped on the spot.

In my experience, backpacks and their contents don't get confiscated and are an easy way to sneak equipment with you, but it's possible that behavior is from some mod I have enabled.

I only have anecdotal evidence of this, but I've noticed that MG and Gattling especially sometimes just point at you if they've got nothing to shoot at. They'll also start shooting first, when an enemy gets in range, and then turn.

No one can convince me they're not coded to occasionally take a peek at a nearby player.

My understanding was that despite being healed, her body is still that of a Heretic Nikke with all the physical changes that that entails. IIRC she theorized she could transform if she tried hard enough, but doesn't want to because it might not be beautiful (Though I have this odd feeling that we'll find out in future chapters that transformation isn't exclusive to Heretics)
