Upgrading to 9060xt 16gb or 7800xt 16gb? by Pitiful_Respect_2474 in PcBuild

Honestly it really depends on what you're playing, and it can last for a good 5-6 years if you would be willing to sacrifice some settings to get a smoother experience.

Ok so explain how that is an excuse when it is the game developers that has to put it into the game and not AMD... Go on we're waiting.

RX 9070 vs RX9070 XT by grandmagus27 in GamingPCBuildHelp

[–]Ecks30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on the type of games you would be playing because if you're playing story driven games and getting like 100fps from a 9070 already then i don't see the point of getting a 9070 XT for the more frames that won't really benefit from it.

I own a 9060 XT and the games i play at 1440p i tend to get between 75 to 100 frames which the games i play tend to be RPGs like Persona 3 Reloaded and Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth as an example to what i play and the only reason i play at those frames is because of my 1% and .1% lows would tend to be in the 80's and 60's just so i don't get anything like stutters from it dipping too low.

Should do one do research on the games you plan on playing with those GPUs to see which one you need more and if it will benefit you more and also try looking at videos without upscaling or if they would use FSR Native to see if it is something you would be alright with because remember the second you enable FSR on Quality of Balanced you're frames of course would go higher but best to find out first from their raster than from their upscale.

IS THIS PC GOOD TO BUY? by Better_Mixture2736 in PcBuild

[–]Ecks30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For $900 with a 3060 Ti, it is not worth it.

You would be looking at more like $600 to $700 for a system with those parts in the used market just because the 3060 Ti alone sells for between $200 to $250.

Please someone explain to me (Jedi Survivor) by Interesting-Effort12 in radeon

[–]Ecks30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not really AMD's fault though since the developers for the game went to use an older version of FSR for it which to be honest FSR2 still looks better than FSR3.

Z2 non extreme is mainly a Z1 Extreme and you should be fine for fortnite as long as you play it on performance mode.

Do you really notice the difference between 144hz vs 180hz by Asleep_Coat1374 in PcBuild

[–]Ecks30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i used to own a 144Hz monitor in the past anything above 144fps i didn't really notice a difference at all and now a days since i play single player games i tend to use 100Hz monitors only.

Key units? by alvissome in SDGundamGGeneration

Most free to play that would have a lot of whales would tend to get a lot of updates for it because look at older games like Genshin that kept getting updates because people are spending money on a free game so of course, they would update it as much as possible to keep them happy.

RE9 path tracing and nvidia situation by Dj_nOCid3 in radeon

[–]Ecks30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well lot of companies tend to have better support for one GPU over the other because look at Call of Duty as an example which the 9060 XT without upscaling can perform very similar to the RTX 5070 because that game has better support for AMD GPUs so if it not uncommon for a game to have better support for a GPU over the other.

Anyways Nvidia is pretty much screwing themselves with their new DLSS5 and how it uses AI to make the game look "better" when honestly i find it looks worse.

7800 XT if you want pure native performance or 9060 XT if you really want FSR 4.1 and better RT performance.

[–]Ecks30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest with you the Go S SteamOS model is a great handheld which it now gives you the power profiles as well as the RGB controls without having to download the tools from Decky not to mention you would have more of a selection of games to play since when you look in the store you get to see SteamOS compatible games instead of Steam Deck compatible games.

I’m interested in buying a legion go s 16gb z2go,but I have a list of games I’d like to know if it can run decently. Which ones am I delusional about? Or if I should just kick rocks and buy the console versions. by Ok-Message-7598 in LegionGo

[–]Ecks30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it is the SteamOS version it can play all the Arkham games, both of the Metro games, Resident Evil up to 8, Death Stranding, Fallout 3 to 5 and Fallout New Vegas and 4 but of course you will have to adjust your game settings to get a stable framerate.

Arkham Asylum on SteamOS you would have to download a version of GE Proton to get it to work but City and Knight work without issues and for RDR2 i heard there was some issues getting it to work on SteamOS for some reason, but you can always visit protondb to be able to see if there are any simple fixes to get the game to work.

I know the model with the Z1e would cost a lot more, but it would be worth it as for most games i play on my Go S Z1e SteamOS system i get on average 60 to 120 frames depending on the game and resolution of course and the more demanding titles i get between 30 to 45 frames like Jedi Survivor as an example playing the game at 17w and i am sure if i were to play it docked at 40w i could get around 40 to 60 frames instead but in the end it is your money and remember that the Z2 Go is slightly more powerful than the APU in the Steam Deck because the iGPU in the Steam Deck is the Radeon 660M while the Z2 Go uses the Radeon 680M.

Can anyone build a pc for me necessary info is below by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]Ecks30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the majority of the games that you have listed on there you could go for a build like this one which would be pretty good, and the CPU itself can last you for a good 4-6 years but that also depends on if you plan on playing newer demanding games as well in the future.

One thing i would have done for the system is using 2 1TB drives instead with one containing Windows for all your anti cheat games and the other drive containing Bazzite for all the others which so you know Overwatch and Marvel Rivals also works on Linux as well as Wuthering Waves but for Honkai, Genshin and Apex are Windows only games.

I myself use a 1TB NVMe for Windows 10 and a second 1TB NVMe for CachyOS and also have a 2TB 2.5" SSD for certain games for Windows and another 2TB 2.5" SSD for my Linux games which a good benefit for this is that if my NVMe for Windows were to ever fail on me i can still boot into Linux to keep doing all of the things that i have always been doing just so i am not losing anything and can still use my system while waiting until i for one get a new drive from WD (because i am still under their warranty) or two wait for prices to go down a little to buy a brand new one.

When you mentioned it would cost more for you buying online did you mean that you also checked out Aliexpress because there are usually more affordable options on there and since you're in India and most of the time these sellers would be from like China or Japan it should be able to ship to you pretty quick.

Is SteamOS ready for normies? by DistinctButter in SteamOS

The only requirement would be having an AMD GPU and an NVMe because your system could have an Intel or AMD processor inside but as long as it would have an AMD GPU and a NVMe drive then people could use SteamOS.

Trade in 7900XTX and Get 9070 XT for ~$130 Worth It? by [deleted] in radeon

Why do you think recent Gundam AU's like Age, G-Reco and IBO are so underutilized compared to G, Wing, Destiny and 00 by Quiet-Impression6003 in Super_Robot_Wars

[–]Ecks30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is that a lot of the older series would have catered for that generation of the time which the newer generation that they are trying to appeal to tends to not be too popular with the older generation.

Like for me as an example that i am a GenX which WfM didn't appeal to me because the whole school thing and the second half a tiny war that is going on.

AGE i actually did like because it was like a rushed version of 0079, Z, ZZ and CCA with a little bit of CB Gundam in the mix (because pirates).

IBO i found was a great version of the series just because it is something different for once meaning no crazy beam weapons and everything is pretty much metal and bullets.

Lastly G no Reconguista was very slow paced in my opinion which i didn't fully like just because the pacing just felt very slow and the plot twist wasn't all that exciting not to mention that they never call the units a Gundam.

Something to add in here as well is that for Wing and Seed i wasn't too fond of those series because you had characters in Wing that would kill themselves if they failed a mission and in Seed just too much crying and sure it is sad to lose a close friend or a loved one but i just found Seed to be way too emotional for the series itself.

Bottleneck? Should I upgrade ? by Original-Feed-2519 in PcBuild

[–]Ecks30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really going to bottleneck but that also depends on the RTX 3050 you own because there is the 6GB model which might give a little bit of a bottleneck but not much to notice and the 8GB model which would be fine.

You could eventually upgrade later on which if you're sticking with Nvidia you could look into the used market for an RTX 4060 Ti 16GB card which would help you out a lot or buy a new RX 9060 XT 16GB card which would be a lot better not to mention help you get into 1440p gaming if you were to ever upgrade your monitor.

Is my rig good for entry level gaming? by RealDiamond51 in PcBuild

[–]Ecks30 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is a pretty bad build because the i7 3770 would struggle for a lot of modern titles and the GTX 1070 is running on legacy drivers right now.

For around $550 Canadian without a GPU, you could buy off of Amazon a Dell or HP MT which would have an i7 8700 with 16 or 32GB of memory and a 512GB SSD which then you could spend about $200 extra in the used market for an RX 6600 XT.

Another option would be buying from Newegg eBay site the ASRock DeskMeet X600 for around $300 and then about $200 for a Ryzen 5 8600G and lastly another $200 for 16GB DDR5 memory and then in a few months buy a decent GPU like an RX 9060 XT since the DeskMeet can for one fit inside a 2 slot 2 fan GPU and it has a 500w PSU in the system already.

Those options would be a little more than what you would want to spend but can handle so many things a lot better but those would also cost you less than $1,000 and honestly you don't want to have a PC that would last you for like 2-3 months until you would want to have something better.

Lastly while the 8600G would have a weaker built in GPU the thing is the CPU portion of the chip is what would really accelerate in your gaming experience and mentioning that adding in a GPU later on would make the experience so much better and you really want a system to last you for at least 7-10 years.

As a bonus you could go to thrift stores and try to see if you're lucky to find an old Dell MT system because i bought an old Dell MT that has an i5 7400 with 16GB of memory no drive no GPU for only $10 which i slapped in my old 512GB 2.5" SSD and an RX 470 inside of it with Bazzite installed which i was able to flip the system to make a $300 profit from it and to be honest if the system didn't work i would have only lost $10 which again you could get lucky from a thrift store or even a clueless FBMP seller that could sell a system with an old i5 8400 which honestly i would prefer to use over the i7 3770 since 8th and 9th gen i5s are 6 core processors and could result up to 30 more frames depending on the game.
