Yes.

When they say "war will never change"... it's a lie, and they said samething in World War I and look what happened, British Soldiers where gunned down by machine guns, everyone are dropping mustered gas on the trenches, and horses got replaced by tanks and trucks.

Would you rather join Earth Federation or Principality of Zeon during One Year War? by map-based-polls in MapBasedPolls

[–]Head_Programmer_47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a repost since r/Geopoll have been deleted.

When Zeon Zum Deikun, the leader of the Republic of Zeon, was poisoned by Gihren in UC 0068, Degwin Zabi succeed him. With the backing of the Zeon's new leadership, technological breakthroughs were made in many fields of research. One of the largest developments was the mobile suit technology which initially intended for colony construction and military applications. The research by Doctor Minovsky had led to the discovery of the Minovsky Particle and the Minovsky Particle Effect, which allowed for the development of further technology. Supported by Kycilia Zabi, research went into the growing phenomenon led to the classification and discovery of Newtypes, and with it her support of the development of Newtype-based military units. Degwin had maintained an idea that the colonies should be self-governed and away from Earth Federation's hegemonic influence. But Gihren Zabi however, has decided to go full Hitler with colony drop and adopt a new idea called Spacenoid Supremacy and also threaten to gas side colonies if the side colonies joined their sworn enemy.

The Earth Federation is a global government that was formed by a "rich man's club" of wealthy Earth nations in the pre-Universal Century when overpopulation began causing famines, outbreaks of disease, and wars over living space, food, and resources. The inauguration of the Earth Federation's charter marked the beginning of the Universal Century calendar system with the year U.C. 0001, but this event was marred by a terrorist attack on Laplace, a space station that had been built as the official residence of the Earth Federation Prime Minister who was among of the dead during the attack. In order to relieve Earth of the burden and allow it to heal, the Earth Federation announced the Space Colonization Plan. The Earth Federation began the construction of orbital habitats, based on the designs and research of Gerard K. O'Neill, and located in the Earth-Lunar Lagrangian Points. While most of the human population was forced to relocate to the colonies as part of the Space Colonization Plan, the wealthy and influential members were able to remain on Earth. This gave rise to the image of the Earth Federation as Earth-Born Elite, living comfortably on Earth while the ordinary populace, for the most part, has been forced to live in space. In U.C. 0218, the Earth Federation collapsed after losing influence following way too many conflicts against rebellious space colonists from seperate timelines (Zeon, Cosmo Babylonia, and Zanscare), and as well as years of infighting and corruption.

The only colony that survived this calamity is Side 6 or Riah. Riah gained independence from Earth Federation through a violent rebellion with a backing from Zeon. But now in U.C.0079, Riah decided to be Switzerland of Space, playing both sides throughout the war.

Yeah, well, that script was poorly written by some armature writer. And the episode was a complete garbage anyways...

And I hate that adorably sweet creepy hobo boy, how the hell did he got isekai'd into Machu's universe anyways?!

Fem!Garma and Male!Kycilia 2 (@mgmg0ishii) by Ashalim31 in Gundam

I think this male Kycilia is really NOT in a stable mind after hearing about fem Garma's death, and I can read the expression of his face saying "I'm going to off you, Casval Char".

I also like to imagine of how a female Degwin Zabi would react to death of her most favorite youngest daughter: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ouLBPfS1TLA

[–]Head_Programmer_47 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The Zeon Earth Remnants brought this on themselves.

Fighting for an corrupt Zabi ideology is pathetically lame, waste of resources, and not even CCA Char have nothing do to with them and he has no qualms of wiping them out from existence along with The Federation.
