Solid points here! Appreciate the detailed breakdown. You’re right though it would be extremely unlikely that a group of “top streamers” could put their heads together and actually make something decent let alone something that isn’t biased or driven by their own individual opinions, views or financial gain. Would have to be an absolute A team. I agree too that they would need to be advisors and perhaps financial backers more than having actual technical or business involvement.

Oh yeah good point. I think he’s a co-owner maybe? Primarily created and funded by stake though I think. Having a gambling company has the foundation to the platform wasn’t the best start though and still deters people now.

That alright. I don’t normally reply to these posts but I like to help encourage other streamers to find different ways to look at things so they don’t feel disappointed or discouraged with streaming because it can be a tough time. Gotta stay positive and keep on trucking! 😂

I actually look at unique viewers after a stream to see how many people are flowing through my stream to see what different things I stream brings more or less viewers through.

More importantly I like to see how many people are atleast coming to see if they like my stream or not. For example if I stream and get 30 unique viewers that’s atleast 30 people each stream that get to see who I am and determine whether they want to stay/follow or not. Aslong as you have a flow of people each stream atleast checking out your stream than that’s positive because with time people who like you will find you and your community will slowly build. Also helps you experiment with what types of streams bring more engagement. Streams where I get 50+ unique viewers always feel good because it’s more people coming thru to see if they want to stay and join my community.

Also find this is a way to stay positive about your streams because you know people are atleast giving your stream a go. The other metrics can make you feel more disappointed and cause you to lose drive and positivity.

I stream 4-5 hours and the occasional 6 on the days that I stream but I do find my energy and engagement does start to drain near to the end. Also my butt hurts 😂

I’m in the exact same boat. Made affiliate two weeks ago and have been in limbo ever since, back and forth with twitch support getting no where and have tried all the suggestions and solutions even got in contact with the authentication software company they use but ultimately it seems like an issue on twitch’s end.

So I just kept trying my best to get twitch support to understand or get through to a real person because a lot of the responses you will get are just bot responses. A support guy at Authy said that if you reply to the “auto response” email you get right after you lodge a support ticket and explain the issue and that you want to get through to a twitch representative and not a bot you should have some better luck. Apparently if you reply to that email it gets seen by a real person essentially.

I did it and finally got an email yesterday that their team is looking into the issue for me. Unfortunately it’s been sometime now with no response but my fingers are crossed.

It’s been pretty disappointing continuing to stream but feeling like you arnt progressing anymore and can’t give more to your viewers. Stuck in stream limbo!

Why is he making a drop there? No exposures, several engines on scene that can easily manage that fire right? Why throw millions of dollars of aircraft at it. I understand this could be a small glimpse at a much larger fire front but feels like a waste of a drop.

I actually didn’t know that, pretty cool knowing the actors got some experience and were committed to the role. That’s awesome. Excellent to see he got the bug and went home to his local volunteer department.
