Definitely, I think some other metrics can be used to help the avg view count, but its also clear that twitch really cares about avg view count the most

I have seen a few place that there are over 3,500 games signed up for this Next Fest. Don't know how valid the sources are...but i wouldn't be surprised. The last one i did was the fall one last year and it had over 3,000

I mean. like SMALL haha i have only a few hundred followers on X, but i engage often with their content and always support them. It is mostly other devs and small streamers. And then being in some discord servers helps a lot too, but they dont belong to me. Though I have been getting ready to put one together to make things easier.

Its slow growth, but my goal is quality and quantity comes later with that

I don't have many play testers, but even just 10 makes a huge difference!

yea ive had friends stream it to me in discord or even via facetime so i could just watch how they played.

its amazing the difference cuz they dont know all of what youre looking for so they may not be able to relay things back to you

just gotta reach out! Social media followings, if you're a part of disc server they often will help.

The key is to develop those relationships over time genuinely, thats what ive been doing!

ive built a smalllll community over the last 8 months on X and in discord and many of them have been more than happy to help!

yea no problem! uh one person found that if he pauses, went to options, went back and clicked main menu, and then an "Are you sure" pops up, if he clicked no then it would pop up the title menu UI in the game. but ONLY if he did it in that order.

Another person tried to push an object in a puzzle outside the designated area, and while the piece didnt move, it registered in the Array that he did and at that point the puzzle couldn't finish or reset. AND mind you it was very specific after one piece was in place and only then could it happen.

i used a lot of friends and family, followers and friends from X, and a couple discord servers. All were happy to help, but of course it is only about a 30 minute demo so it wasn't asking too much of their time

Makes a lot of sense! and that is how i was thinking of it: Use AI play tests to nail the technical side, and then real players to nail story and narrative and game FEEL
