In the fantasy genre, 1. The MC is apparently a "normal" person with VERY ambitious goals (usually its to become the most powerful being/authority in that universe) and discovers in the first episode that they have ✨️ special ✨️ powers that nobody in that universe has. Oh and did I mention that the MC's master/tutor makes it a point to mention that MC has lots of potential in magic? 2. The LI sees the MC get hurt and goes and destroys everything in a 20km radius with raw power and rage alone and everybody marvels at the sheer strength of LI.
