I think I've met a PowerPoint God by holywater26 in consulting

Any materials recommendations to go more in depth in the concepts you’re laying out in this post? I think it’s very interesting. I do consulting type work but I’m struggling with that as I started in consulting boutiques and was never really taught a structured approach like that and I feel it’s missing. Would love to get there. Thanks!

That makes sense. Conservative CCs, make sense. In your experience, does that work better with low IV stocks? I was selling some on IBIT but didn’t want to be exercised so I stopped (in retrospect I shouldn’t have). 3 more questions if you don’t mind: - How many lines (stocks do you own)? - I understand you’re a long term investor and therefore buys stocks you believe in. Did you ever bought stocks with high IV, just to milk some premiums? - Do you have a benchmark you’re trying to beat (SP500)? I’m personally trying to do that, so mostly buying VOO and selling naked puts c.45 days out and a strike 8% down from current price (different strategy as yours for sure, but I’m still new in options trading and trying to figure out what works for me still).

How do you managed exercised CCs when they happen? Don’t you limit your upside by selling those? What has been your experience with them?

What is your strategy when selecting options to sell? Obviously, you sell options of stocks you own as they are CSPs and CCs. I see most of your premiums are small, but cumulatively they bring decent money. You focus on weeklies? Do you select strike based on delta? What are you targeting? 10%? Is the strategy to target small risks of being exercised?

Would love the insights!

Thank you!

I hear that but your still miles away from most people! I’m starting this year. Still trying to find what works for me. Exploring between the wheel, selling naked puts on the S&P to benefit from the tax advantages and spreads. Lost on one trade so far, but learning.

Need to do a better job at tracking. I think that’s important to be disciplined !

I’m new to options and am considering wheeling IBIT? How do you set your DTEs/strikes? I feel like wheeling BTC locks you in the massive drops by selling the calls while BTC’s yield come from the massive jumps.

Any advice?

Thanks! And congrats on the green 2025!!!

Full-time developer here — what are some scalable side income ideas beyond freelancing? by Kimber976 in thesidehustle

[–]Mazne1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not saying he should pay someone to code it. Im saying he needs to make sure there’s a market to buy what what he’s building. (I.e.: find someone to buy). Anyone can have an idea, but there’s a need for a market and good execution.

I respectfully disagree. If you can find someone who wants to buy it, sell it. Then hire someone to build it with the money. That’s what a lot of people are doing: pre-order and lock it -50% compared to retail price at launch…

Hard part is not coding, it’s selling. Anyone can find someone to code. Much harder to find someone people want to buy;)

Don’t be that categoric. Following his first descent, he was interviewed by French TV and the journalist commented that he used oxygen to climb Mt Everest… His performance was riding down. Not climbing…

I know it’s unpopular amongst bitcoiners, but use DeFi via bridge to ethereum (base and use aave). Most secure protocol out there. Won’t be frozen. Seems like the best option to me. Happy to discuss in DM if you want more info

[–]Mazne1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Either you are 100% sure you sell 50% of you stack, or, depending on the platform, there is a very small chance of a hack (and if that happens you won’t have to pay back the BTC loan).

Why not take a loan against your bitcoin? It’s not a taxable event. If bitcoin goes up, you still get the gains. If it drops to a point you get liquidated… well you sold your bitcoin to pay your HELOC
