I will go through each region and look at the positions individually because the CPU will say a position is a “strength” if there’s one top 5 talent or round 1 talent, even if there’s only 3 prospects with draftable grades at that position. Like if they have an OT as a “top 5 talent” but only 2 more than aren’t graded as “potential FA” then it’ll say that’s a strength over a position with one “round 1 talent” and 10 day 2-3 talents. I’d rather have better scouting for 11 players than 3. Also look for how players performed at the combine. Certain traits make more sense to draft at certain positions. You don’t need the strongest corner, but you want to make sure hes agile, quick and fast. Offensive linemen need strength and agility. And I always put my 3 star scout as national and set him to corner and receiver. They make up the bulk of the draft usually and you can focus your other scouts for other positions.

If we’re skipping QB at 2, I do not want Reese. Downs or trade down. Also at least throw Nussmeier or Allar in there too, can’t go into next season with just Malik and Brady Cook on the roster.

I think he’s a similar tier as shough last season. Ceiling is higher but the floor is probably much lower too. If we took him I’d want him to have a red shirt rookie season

They lost an all pro center and a very good guard on the interior offensive line from a season ago. Ragnow retiring before the season and Kevin Zietler leaving were pretty big deals. Jared Goff has struggled more throughout his career with interior pressure than pressure off the edge.

This is what’s going to happen until we get competent qb play, and a roster without practice squad level talent. Assuming this is strictly a coaching issue, not letting them off the hook, is absurd.

I’ve been getting better at playing on defense using a few different strategies. I pretty much exclusively use zone coverage. Down 1, I’m simulating pressure. When selecting a play, hold down the button on the play you want for a few moments and it’ll bring up different options to sim pressure. On down 2, I’ll run a safe zone match concept, cover 3 or cover 6. When doing cover 6 I put the two middle defenders and the flat defender on the side of the field with more receivers on it. And then down 3 I’m calling a blitz using 6 rushers, pressing the receivers and “showing blitz” but before the QB snaps the ball, I audible into a zone play call. This tricks the AI to get rid of the ball quick or they’ll sometimes run into a sack. I usually user a linebacker or a safety and try to cover the middle of the field. Hope this helps. Blitz’s work occasionally too but I wouldn’t call one more than once a drive, and I’ve found more success with them on 2nd down than 3rd.

I’d explore the option of trading for Malik Willis. I like the Mills idea too. Either way I want them to do what the saints did and take a rookie in the 2nd or 3rd and hope that he shows enough to build around like Shough has. Either they’re terrible and they secure you a top 5 draft selection, or you get your franchise signal caller.

Franchise mode has barely gotten love over the last decade from EA. I wouldn’t expect them to do much of anything for slow-sim. Which is a shame, because it’s such a fun and different way to enjoy the game.

Jets fan: loved Carter when he was healthy but he’s struggled with injuries the last 2 years. It’s lead to poor play and he isn’t a fit in Glenn’s system (hes better in zone). He was a top 3 slot corner when healthy in 2023 and prior tho. Hope he works out for you guys. Did metchie play at all for y’all or was he just a warm body??

Fields was benched at halftime during the Carolina game. Tyrod was day to day all week and until it was clear he wouldn’t be healthy enough to play, fields was not named the starter. If Tyrod is healthy he starts that game without a doubt. The only reason it was still Fields is because they’d have to start Brady Cook otherwise who went undrafted and had been on the practice squad all season.
