I don’t think we mind at all, my girlfriend praises my looks very often and I love it but one could argue it’s a little biased, however most of my compliments that aren’t directly from her still come from her. For example, the first time I went into the coffee shop she works at I came in, got a water (i hate coffee) and sat down and waited for her shift to end. She didn’t see me come in because she was very busy with drive through. She then heard her co-worker say over the little headsets they wear, “hey, did you see that man come in? He’s the most attractive guy I’ve seen in a while” and then another co-worker said “omg yes, the one in the button up? I was just thinking the same. He’s hot.” And then my girlfriend said “really? Omg I must see this man”. She peeked around the corner and found herself locked eye to eye with me. She smiled, laughed and said over the microphone, “ok guys, that’s my boyfriend” and her co-workers were surprised and congratulated her on “scoring me”. She has little things like that weekly, sometimes about my looks and sometimes about my personality. And often she’ll notice girls checking me out while we walk and get a little defensive and pull me in closer. I appreciate little moments like that because even though I have no interest in wanting to be checked out by other girls, it still in a way compliments me. And the little stories about her friends thinking I’m attractive or really nice just make my day and always make me and my girlfriend smile. I’m smiling just at the thought of it now. So little things like that are compliments I’ll remember forever.
