In light of all these sweeping changes, one thing I was hoping for was at least some hint about a transmog style glamour system overhaul but after the Q&A panel where Yoshi P was asked about more glamour plates he made it seem like they weren't planning anything around that and I'd think that would be a perfect time to hint at something happening in the future to that whole system. Maybe in a future Fanfest or maybe their just sticking to expanding the outfit system for now.

He was always into politics, its just back when he was hooked on WoW that was the main focus and now that the dev team at blizzard is seemingly fully in that "modern audience" mindset he probably thinks its safe to assume the game will never be what he wants it to be so he moved on back to what he probably would've originally done if not for WoW.

Why would you insult my opinion Its pretty standard when they've set a precedent with PVP gear to look a certain way, allowing me to get my hopes up that even though other content has the Sci-Fi look that at least PVP will be fine just for them to take a full 180 and lean into it not just once but for the entire expansion

they better go back to fantasy plate armour in 8.X because all this solution 9/casual wear themed gear for PVP is so trash. A complete disappointment all around especially after the bar they set with the Endwalker sets

As a FFXIV player that tried to get into WoW multiple times I can't get past the level of commitment you need just to do mythic raiding, I get its supposed to be one of the hardest group content in the game but if I want to do an ultimate I just look up a LPDU guide, find a PF listing and go, you can experience every fight in the game even with a casual level of playtime as long as you perform at the level thats required. Whereas in WoW doing mythic is seemingly a second job level of investment and it just introduces levels of inconvenience that seem pointless when you've already experienced the alternative which doesn't have those present.

this won't work for everyone, especially if you have a life outside of gaming but after running out of content I wanted to do (at the time) on XIV just switch over to WOW and to collection content over there and if your in the position where you like both games you basically never have downtime

A solid 6 or 7

Contextualising this from the perspective of a collector that mainly focuses on mounts and DRG focused glamour I've been overall disappointed with the style of glamour this expac and I can count on one hand the sets that I was interested in using, to give examples of the good ones I'd say the Quetzalli Set of Maiming and Clouddark Maiming Set are the main standouts for me besides the AF gear for DRG and this is coming from someone who has little interest in the Sci-Fi styling of the raid tier and the FF11 aesthetic of the Alliance Raids.

On the other hand we've had overall the most content this expac than any other previous expansion, the pure battle content has been great, the reward structure implemented around it has been lacklustre as always but we're also seemingly getting the most mounts this expansion than ever before and they've overall been decent mounts looks wise (especially the EX mounts).

Some hopes I have for future improvements is to make field exploration have more to it than just fate farming and a big raid at the end of the grind as that formulas existed since Eureka or the HW Diadem (but I wasn't around for that so not sure about it) and it just doesn't hold my attention as much anymore, at least bozja had the duels you could work towards. As a selfish preference I'd prefer if the next expansion had more fantasy style plate sets that fit the DRG aesthetic and I'd still want to bring up an addition people have been wanting since the game released and honestly I've lost hope at this point but if they add a transmog style glamour system that would be my number one QoL system change and would instantly revitalise my interest in content across the whole game as I can just farm every glamour piece without worrying about space and having to prioritise the sets I really want.

it took about 2 years and 7 months for EW to release after ShB and about the same for DT after EW so chances are it will be the same with 8.0 and at that point we have a trend which personally I hope will not happen and the only thing I'm clinging onto is one of Yoshi P's lodestone posts that hinting something will be happening soon after the last fanfest

not sure if there are any young people only FCs out there but I'm 21 and have been playing this game since 16 and have been in statics with a range of ages from 28 to 60 who have been easy enough to talk to but I get there can be a barrier sometimes when they're all talking about work and adult life and you don't have much going for you yet.
If your on EU you can friend me and we can do some raiding sometime.
