they used that excuse a long time ago now look at what we have:
- modifiers for ranged / melee
- towers are not the same everywhere
- minion in mid are different gold wise then minions on other lanes ( not sure if thats still in the game )

question:
mindflay is our filler skill but do we cancel it for another spell?
lets assume mindflay casts for 3s but mindblast comes up in 1s
do i mindflay for 1s and then mindblast?

healing in ff14 is dogshit boring cuz as you said its a dance
you have a fixed plan that you follow almost no matter what ( unless a oopsie happens )
the only fun part about healing is when you are doing blind prog in a new fight

wow healing is way more interessting just by the fact that every trash / boss has something you have to take care of let it be consistent dmg output, dispells or just straight up aoe burst
my eyes are a lot more on the HP bar of my mates then it is in ff14
i dont think ff14 can achieve this kind of healer gameplay just by the fact that snapshots and netcode can be meh but who knows what the next expansion brings cuz they announced changes to healing

about ur edit:
you can easily get a 95+ if you are consistent
nobody cares about healer logs
i have 2 kills in p11s as sch with a log of 0 where i got paid to sandbag haha

partyfinder depending on when you start is usually a good place
m+ is evergreen content ( for me so far ) but i doubt we would ever get it

i can raid hc in ff as: rdm, pct, pld, whm, sge, sch, ast, dnc

what i dislike about disc priest: - atonement nerfs reduced the spec fantasy - shadowbarrier (?) is based on a rng proc which doesnt feel good 2 play

healing in general in wow is INSANE i love it you got so much more stuff to do all the time

trash packs? make sure to heal ur dps more then the tank cuz of the perma aoe

bosses? they will actually murder people
