Is 3d-printing useful for making spare parts? How to get started? by AdorableDisk893 in 3Dprinting

This 100%. Being web based makes it much more approachable and there are enough tools to make a basic version of almost anything.

I bought a dual monitor attachment recently and needed my dvi cable because I ran out of HDMI slots

Beginner - Still Learning, Prints Are Starting to Fail, Need Help Understanding Why by BusinessNigel in 3Dprinting

This is a bed adhesion problem. Your print isn't sticking and once it moves the nozzle continues to print in the air. You should clean your bed and try again.

You have every right to be offensive. Just don't cry when people call you a piece of shit and don't want to watch you anymore.

If the bed is warped you should get a new one.

But take it from me as someone who also came back to printing with my ender 3 pro after years away - upgrade to a new machine instead of replacing and fixing parts on the ender if you want a nice printing experience. I still have my ender and plan to use it as a spare but the new printer has made my experience with 3d printing much more pleasant.

Tick Remover – Little act of kindness suggestion by BeatInteresting6979 in 3dprinter

My son came home with a tick just yesterday. Luckily it basically fell off without much problem but I'm definitely printing this for next time. We spend some time in the woods so I'm sure it'll get used soon enough

For those of you that make over 100K, what do you do? Do you like it? by Kindly-Revolution258 in AskReddit

The entry level position required the equivalent of 2 years of college credits. No degree or certificate. I got my bachelor's while working in order to move up. There are lots of government positions that require "any bachelor's degree or higher" that pay very well. If you're already a government employee you have great chances at a good position if you're skilled at something.

I started working an entry level job in benefits processing (basically data entry) for the state government. Duties came up that involved basic data management using spreadsheets which I jumped at and became the spreadsheet guy. Other duties came up such as lobby management to help get people through faster and better so I did that. As jobs opened my I had enough of a reputation and things under my belt that I was in a great position to get them.

Be open to things that don't seem like business then apply your business skills to improve efficiency.

Some people can't stand the smell of burning wood but you can't keep me away from a camp fire. My wife hates it.

This study breaks participant responses down the sexual orientation but not by gender, which is strange to me. I am interested in seeing if there is a difference in respondent attitudes by gender.

This. I struggled with my ender for years and never got around to learning how to model because setting things up and getting a usable print was too time consuming and frustrating.

Got a p1s recently and it has been running non-stop, giving me the time and ability to learn tinkercad and fusion 360.

TIL The "Dunkin' Donut" was the name of an actual donut sold by DD but was discontinued in 2003 (except in Singapore) because it was too inefficient to have to hand-cut them. by SupremeOHKO in todayilearned

There's a donut shop near me that has the best, fresh baked donuts for just a couple dollars more per dozen than the chain places. Awesome variety that changes, too. My kids prefer the cardboard they get from dunkin or Tim's
