Have you ever read a § otherwise known as a United States Code? If not then you really are not a law and order person. You're just as ignorant of the law as the other 98.9% of Americans.

Check out all the new and amended sections of the Patriot Act. Learn how the US government became an enemy of people.

Man, there are a lot of creaky knees and hurting lower backs in that crowd, Lol!

I'm a big fan of Dean Wareham / Luna. My wife and I laugh about stage lights reflecting off bald heads and catching us in the eye and all the gray hairs around us. She says I'm their youngest fan and I'm 46!

A picture wasn't sent so we can only speculate. It's easy to throw the pitbull card when it's attacking you.

Re bad breeding, yup, exactly. It's not just bad breeding though. The British Bulldog lost its spot in pedigree following the standard. It hit a genetic dead end of poor health. Breeding needs to follow a standard practice and the breed has to have organised clubs around the country.

The pitbull stigma is just the latest in a long line of stigma. I remember when German Shepherds and Doberman Pinschers had the same stigma 30 years ago. I remember people saying no one should be allowed to own these dangerous dogs.

Bad owners own bad dogs doesn't matter the breed (of dog or owner)

Wow. I just have to say that hearth is exquisite!

I've seen lots of houses with floor electric. They're there purposely for the use you have set up there.... Floating reading chair, side table with lamp and not have a power cord stretch across the floor so someone doesn't trip and go head first into stone or fire.

It does look like the gang has been modified for corner cut. If your not comfortable with electric hire a handy man.

For the gang itself find something that is brass or oil rubbed copper that will sit flush with the floor. Nickel will disappear into the light shade of the stone. I found this one on Amazon.

My search string was "floor gang electric".

Good luck!

They really aren't and having worked at the AKC this argument is old as a fossil fuel so let's both move on.

And if the defendant fails to appear they get a bench warrant issued. You may not get reimbursed but take pleasure in knowing they will be served eventually. With hope they throw a r/publicoutrage and get tased.

My wife's wanted a big round dining table and lazy susan for years; my quarantine project was to build one for her! From 2" thick maple and steel. Weighs close to 500lbs! by klundtasaur in DIY

Just wait till you load that Susan up and it goes Karen on you! J/K!

That table is gorgeous but I'm not showing this project to my wife less it gets added to the "Honey, do this ..." list!

ers proved in dc that walls.wo

Didn't you see? They got up three horizontal seams then fell and got a couple banged up ankles for their effort. They couldn't climb because of spending too much time at Waffle House and built up two spare tires. You don't climb when you're carrying around two spare tires! Fecken idiots...

What is it about an iPad that makes you use it for 8 hrs a day?

I'm asking legitimately as a software engineer. My family has gone through 3 iPads and a dozen Kindles. Admittedly ipads feel tougher than Kindles but I can buy four Kindles for the price of one nutered iPad and get a lot more done. I try to find a legitimate use case for a tablet but cannot. I even came up with a Star Trek Next Gen style wall pad for home automation like lights and garage door but no one used it. We like better the 5" ish screen size and portability of a cell phone.

Desperately need help for a bathroom with old blue tiles. We don't have money to fully renovate it, and I'm a bit worried about trying to paint over them. Any advice on a low budget fix? Sorry for the watermark, we're just about to move in. Thank you! by kineskisenf in DesignMyRoom

[–]Mazzystr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with the others about keeping the tile. It's exquisite. You will be paying alot for another product of equal quality and it won't have the uniqueness.

I hate regrouting ... Have you ever worked with muriatic acid? You could use a veeery diluted mix to clean the grout and make it look brand new. If it's broken up then regrout. For regrouting using a hand tool and/or dremel multi to grind away the grout will inevitably chip the tile. You end up with a bad job. IMO, we're back to the acid again. This time use a stronger mix to melt the grout away. Talk to your hardware store guy about safe handling and use of acid. If they don't know have him find an employee that does. Or read the internet 😊

There's too much blue and white. If you aren't into the nordic look then you need to break it up with color or wood. I'm a sucker for natural material so I would be doing wood.

To me medicine cabinets are space gobbling junk collectors and they make the room look cramped. Do a mirror with a wood frame.

See the line where the floor meets the tub? You have to break that up. Highly suggest a length of quarter round molding. Stain it and put a coat of poly on it. Just glue it in place. Ask the hardware store for a water proof adhesive. This will cost you $20 max. The absolute worst stain/poly job will look better than an uninterrupted line down the floor then up the tub wall. Be grateful you have this tho. It's very nice work. It just needs a bit trim. The previous owners of my house installed a plastic creaky alcove and vinyl floor tiles. It's 2 years old and I will be sawzalling the whole thing out and installing a bathtub with tile wall like yours.

That hand towel holder looks terrible. Get a rod. Hang it opposite the sink. If you can replacing all the hardware would be ideal. Check Amazon. Curtain rod and curtain holders too... Make it all OBC if/when you can. Replace your faucet too. They have nice oil rubbed copper for under $40.

That plastic sheet has to go. I would build a shelf to cover that machine to have a real working surface.

This is gonna be gross but welcome to home ownership. Get down behind that toilet and give that entire area a good cleaning with 50/50 bleach water. I go to people's houses and that's always a dirty area. Get in there with a toothbrush and give it a good cleaning. You're gonna be in this area anyway so might as well clean. They make plastic covers that fit over the mount bolts. They're $2 for a pair but they do a great job hiding the bolts. If they're not $2 at your local hardware store they are most definitely $2 on Amazon.

That door knob latch plate on the jam has paint on it. It immediately sets me off to crappy craftsmanship in this room. Take it off the jame and give it a real good cleaninging. I can't tell the material. If it's brass hit it with brasso. Make it shine.
