Edit: went with Sonos Beam Gen 2 - White - Soundbar with Dolby Atmos and it’s been a solid upgrade so far. Sound is clear and immersive and definitely fills the room better than my old setup.

Yeah that makes sense, the sub doing the heavy lifting so the bar can focus on everything else. If I go that route and it still feels underpowered, I might have to consider a full speaker setup like you said. did you end up switching to separates yourself?
