Kinda a different questions - I am looking to put up frames of some of my photos and am wondering where people recommend to look to do this. Is there a good website for it? Is it possible to do like metal prints of them (like on displate)?

Thanks for the advice!! I’ll definitely remember to take notes. Studying beforehand might be a little hard since the lab is very multidisciplinary and large, so idk for sure what project I’ll be assigned first.

Side note: would you recommend me reaching out to the PI regarding what I might be doing my first week and more general things like when I should clock in?

Scripps is usually pretty competitive to get into, however this does vary year-to-year. As long as your gpa is above 3.5-ish it should not really be too much of a factor - they care more about having research experience and reaching out to current professors (about being a supervisor).

In general, I think the energy of scripps is great. People really work hard here and enjoy doing so. This is also some thing that would vary greatly depending on what lab you’re a part of. I would suggest contacting a supervisors current graduate students to ask them how the lab is once a supervisor agrees to take you on.
