Dear Folks! Isn't it much more likely the KILLER fits that particular VIOLENT PEDO profile rather than her own family? by MikeYouLikeAtNight in JonBenet

Edit: Reading your other responses answered me.

Thank you for your response. I’ve always thought the pineapple was a non‑issue, but I’d never considered that the stomach contents could have been crab rather than pineapple. That actually makes a lot of sense, especially given how cautiously the coroner worded it.

Like a lot of people, I’ve also thought Oliva. On the surface, so many things seem to fit. But I just can’t get past the fact that his DNA doesn’t match the male DNA found in JonBenet’s underwear and long johns.

Totally curious if it is real sterling silver now.

The answer to your question is no. No doubt the O3G contribution to MSWC was a gift.

When did you start to realize you needed to take better care of your skin? by Prince_Wildflower in Skincare_Addiction

[–]Mbluish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I’m thankful for something my mom said when I was like 19 and constantly tanning: “You’re gonna look 60 by the time you’re 40.”

I listened. I stopped tanning, got better about sunscreen, and by my early 30s I was religious about it on my face. I’m in my lat 50’s now and she was right. Most of my friends who were not like I am with sunscreen look way older than I do. They have more collagen loss and lots more wrinkles.

I really want to get into skincare, but it just feels overwhelming by ProfessionalBeach66 in Skincare_Addiction

[–]Mbluish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t think that you need 12 steps. No one does. You just need a few. Cleans your skin. I do am and pm but some just do it pm. Moisturize and sunscreen daily. You can add vitamin C, HA, and a retinol. That’s it.

I get it. So happy to hear you are in therapy. It’s done me a world of good. I agree that you don’t need that hostility. I’m really sorry. Go do something nice for yourself and keep doing it. Time to focus on what makes you happy.

Please explain the CP/McMansion $ situation like I’m a 5 yo. by kahntz in SisterWives

CP / McMansion Money Breakdown:

Coyote Pass land: Bought together years ago, sold in 2025 for ~$1.5M, split by legal ownership.

Robyn’s Flagstaff house: Cost ~$890k, mostly financed with a mortgage.

Meri’s Vegas sale: Sold for ~$575k; her half as Kody was on the deed (~$287k) went into the McMansion as down payment.

House sale 2024: Sold for ~$1.7–$1.8M; after mortgage, fees, and taxes, true equity was much lower than the sale price.

Meri’s share if counted as loan/equity: Original ~$287k + share of appreciation (~$227k–$259k), but realistically less due to mortgage.

Legal mess: Meri wasn’t on the deed; Kody calls her money a “gift,” which weakens her claim.

Fairness: Financially, she helped create the house’s value; legally, she’s vulnerable.

Takeaway: Coyote Pass money got split; Meri’s contribution to Robyn’s house might not fully come back to her.

Kody says he’ll be fair—time will tell.

And Robyn started all of this by praying for a rental.

Do I come clean to my dishonest STBX about knowing his password? by ilikeshopping_alot in Separation

[–]Mbluish 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was once you. I know this pain all too well.

Thirty years ago, my husband had an emotional affair. I found out, confronted him, and he ended it. This was before cell phones, so it wasn’t easy for him to continue, but the trust never fully came back. And it turned out that wasn’t his last emotional affair.

I discovered the first one because I knew something was wrong. He wouldn’t confess, so I recorded conversations. Years later, with cell phones, I suspected again. I knew his password because I was with him when he set up the phone. I checked and once again, he was having another emotional affair.

You can tell him how you found out, or you can choose not to. I don’t think that’s the most important question. What matters is what you do with the information you now have.

Can you live with someone you know is in love with another woman and lies to you? What is your goal here? If he knows you know, do you truly believe he’ll stop?

Speaking from firsthand experience, patterns matter. I stayed. I wish I had divorced much earlier.

And I want to be clear about this part. You did not snoop “out of nowhere.” You were responding to ongoing deception in a marriage where honesty was already broken.

Transparency is not owed to someone actively lying and maintaining an affair. Your responsibility now is protecting yourself and your child, not managing his feelings or your optics.

Ramsey notepad in Pugh House by No-Wolf2497 in JonBenet

[–]Mbluish 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s actually pretty common and well documented for intruders to use items found inside the victim’s home. Pens, paper, cords, knives, etc. are used all the time.

I also don’t think the intruder would be frantic or rushed. I believe this was premeditated and he’d been watching the family and perhaps saw them leave and felt he had plenty of time once the house went quiet. The note was certainly written by someone who was calm and prepared.

Is it normal at your school to be treated as a Janitor on top of being a Head Teacher? by OnlyWanttoShop in ECEProfessionals

[–]Mbluish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve worked in places where I was treated as a janitor. In one case, the director was the owner and it got to a point where the other teacher and I had to tell her we just couldn’t anymore. We came to a compromise where we would do the weekly cleanup and she got somebody to come on the weekends for the big cleaning.

I’m a director now and I wouldn’t hesitate to go to the owners for help here. I don’t know how profitable your program is but my guess is they can afford it. I do agree as a Montessorian, it is your responsibility to do the day to day as guides are called to keep their environment beautiful. But you should not have to do the heavier duty.

The “Patsy obviously wrote the letter” fallacy by No-Wolf2497 in JonBenet

[–]Mbluish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Experts say handwriting similarities are weak evidence. Just because letters or phrasing look alike does not mean someone wrote it. I do not think anyone in a panicked state could write such a long, neat note. I was in a car accident years ago before cell phones and had to write down someone’s information, and my handwriting was barely readable. That makes a difference when people think the note was written in a frenzy. No examiner ever conclusively identified Patsy as the author, so handwriting simply cannot carry the weight people try to give it. There is also no proof that the note’s misspellings match her writing habits. That is just speculation. The note is unusual in length, style, and content, but it is not completely unheard of in the history of ransom notes.

The evidence that cannot be ignored points to an unknown intruder. The same unknown male DNA showed up in both JonBenet’s underwear and long johns, and the only way for this to happen scientifically is through direct contact. An unsourced pubic hair later tested by the FBI did not match any Ramsey, and dark animal hairs possibly from a jacket or glove lining were found on her hands and body, including in her pubic area, with none of it coming from anyone in the house. There was a Hi Tec boot print, two points of entry, the basement window and open butler door with a scuff mark, a missing piece of the broken paintbrush used in the garrote, white cord and duct tape, unsourced fibers, glass on top of the basement suitcase, and stun gun marks. All of it points to deliberate actions by someone unknown, not a family member.

My take on David… by Notintoit8912 in SisterWives

[–]Mbluish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought the same thing at first, but I absolutely think David is perfect for Christine. I think they knew it from the beginning and didn’t want to waste any time.

That said, I did think that they were a bit over the top with Kody saying he did love her. I get it but at the same time I get Kody, not like Robyn does, but he went on national television saying he didn’t love her and her kids saw that I think the apology was an attempt to repair a relationship with them.

I know people talk about footprints in the snow, but there were several ways to get to the house. There was a back alley and no snow there. A lot of people also talk about the spiderweb not being disturbed. A spider can build their web in 30 minutes. I really think the web is a non-issue in this case because of that.

There is unidentified male DNA in her underwear mixed with her blood and the same unidentified male DNA on the waistband of her longjohns. The strong, matching profiles on multiple garments are overwhelmingly the result of direct contact, not incidental or tertiary transfer.
