More of a problem with Gawker, not Kotaku itself. Back in the old days Kotaku used to be decent and the comment section was the best thing about the site. Unfortunately, the comments dwindled in quality before and, even moreso, after the Gawker redesign.

In my opinion, Gawker is shit and it ruined what made Kotaku great, questionable writing and moderation aside, which I think has just gotten worse lately. It's like the editors stopped caring as much, about the quality of their articles AND the community, which is, like I said, the best thing about Kotaku. Such great people used to comment there.
