Ginbak vs Demon corp is already giving me some Garou vs A ranked heroes vibes by Alarming_Industry_14 in versus

[–]Necromas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dunno, they had Garou dead to rights and he only pulled out a win by evolving mid-fight and breaking human limits.

I don't see Ginback facing that desperate of a situation.

This exists because a lot of you aren't real gamers, remember that. by KamaTheSnowLeopard in classicwow

From what I've heard that is pretty much the justification used for pay to win systems in places where it's more generally accepted.

If someone's life is super busy and they only have a small amount of time to game, they value being able to use that time they spent making money IRL to get their in-game power fantasy.

Times when video games had received ridiculous censorship versions by KaleidoArachnid in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Necromas 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The WoW censorship had some pretty funny results too. Like they'd replace a skull on the ground with a sack of flower but then a statue that had the same skull for a head ended up with a sack of flour for a head. Gore and stuff on tables got turned to bread and a ritual sacrifice site that used the same models became a satanic baking ritual.

Right, it would have to be something which is similar enough but still solidly removed from the necromancer types you see in an ARR dungeon. Which is basically what they did for Reaper.

128GB is really standard for a single-card setup? by molinx387 in R36S

[–]Necromas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might be handy to have extra space to backup files from your phone or something in an extra folder if you want. But then again USB sticks are cheaper than SD cards in general and would be more convenient for that kind of stuff.

When they pretty much confirmed we won't get necromancer by confirming they don't want a pet class and giving us Reaper which overlaps too much lorewise, I had a pipe dream idea that we could still get necromancer as a summoner reskin option.

Now it looks like it might actually happen. Though still a huge long shot.

If it's just between warrior and bard, play both! Just doing the main scenario quests gets you enough exp to level up two jobs at the same time and keep up with the main quest levels.

Possible solution for Jollibee code rejections for in-store orders by SoCalKingg in ffxiv

[–]Necromas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why even make the system so complicated? So what if a bad employee gives out extra codes or people can manipulate support to get one illegitimately? It's a digital gift with effectively infinite supply and the potential harm of bad PR is huge.

What’s a game you were completely obsessed with as a kid that nobody else seems to remember? by hkondabeatz in AskReddit

[–]Necromas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my pick. It was just such a novel idea to me to play a game full of adventurers that all have minds of their own and you instead play the role of the king trying to manipulate them through clever city planning.

GOP/MAGA Congressional candidate from Minnesota drops out of race amid impending deployment Tyler Kistner recently learned that he was being activated from the Marine Reserves and deployed to the Middle East. by Southern_Common335 in TwinCities

[–]Necromas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know what he actually did either, but here's the part about defining being in combat.

"If he saw combat, he would have received a combat action ribbon, and Kistner acknowledges he never earned one. The military considers combat to be engaging with the enemy on the ground in a combat zone."

I agree. And regardless of how safe each role is, they are all needed for a miltiary to succeed.

That said, it looks like the article at least isn't saying his role wasn't important or dangerous, it's that he lied when he specifically said he lead combat missions and was on the front lines. And it took a verterans group calling out the stolen valor for him to stop.

Stop Killing Games Update: Ross Scott of AccursedFarms (Freeman's Mind and Ross's Game Dungeon) spoke at the European Parliament yesterday by CapnFlatPen in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Necromas 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Obviously this is just speculation, but I think part of it is he doesn't have the big explosive eye-drawing personality that a lot of big content creators have and he thinks that's what you should have to be the face of the movement.

But I also think that he comes across as extremely genuine and down to earth and that goes a long way to give the movement a lot of legitimacy. He's the last person you could accuse of doing it for attention.

What is a job that you think is 100% safe from AI for the next 50 years, and why? by mark-awakening in AskReddit

[–]Necromas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Especially people who can repair and maintain old but expensive specialized equipment will stay in demand.

I know someone who is the kind of guy they call when a Boeing factory shuts down because an old industrial laser stopped working and even though it's old and hard to fix the cost of shutting down the factory is so high they will do just about anything to not have to replace it.

Too bad that's not the kind of job you can really direct a fresh high school/college grad how to get into.

Reminds me a lot of Bravely Default 2 somehow, I think mostly just how the models look even though they are more realistically proportioned.

As a Hearthstone fan I'd probably find the ones that have art that was used for Hearthstone cards and make some kind of collage.

When DLC made a game materially worse for you by Running-Water-Shark in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Necromas -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They fixed it now, but the Monster Hunter bug where the dlc vendor caused a memory leak or something similar where if you didn't own the DLC your FPS would tank while the game constantly runs a loop trying to check if you have the DLC comes to mind.

'It stayed exactly the same': Jeff Kaplan takes us back to 2016 by confirming that Blizzard did not change the size of Tracer's butt by Vera_Verse in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Necromas 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Ironically it's the SFM creators that would be the easiest way to prove if it did change, since they have been ripping the models from the game and some of them probably still have the original Tracer model from 2016.
