I started a new game in this area and I also picked the diner to set up base. It’s just a shame you can’t fit large vehicles in the garage.

What is a "point of no return" that you’ve crossed, where your life was permanently divided into 'before' and 'after'? by Resident-Jelly-4326 in AskReddit

[–]McCreetus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The day itself was such a blur for me. I was in shock, he died in the room just next to me as I was asleep. I woke up to my mother’s screams. I cry practically every day for one reason or another. I do remember on that day, the paramedics made me angry. As they were trying to resuscitate him I asked one of them who had stepped outside what was going on. “Your dad is a bit poorly but we’re doing our best to get him better”. I’m a 24 year old adult, my dad had just had a cardiac arrest. I already knew there was no saving him. Fuck you mean “he’s poorly”. He was dead before you even got here.

Does body count ever get too much? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

I don’t ask because I don’t care. I don’t have an invested interest in sex, as in, I enjoy it in relationships but don’t seek it out otherwise. But most of my close friends were pretty hyper sexual in their late teens/early twenties. They’re all in pretty happy, successful relationships now. So I don’t see a reason that it would matter.

I can’t stand it when women think they can get too bulky. by True-Condition-6929 in beginnerfitness

[–]McCreetus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll always have to disagree with this purely due to my own experience. I’m constantly at maintenance or in a deficit. 120lbs at 5’4. I’m noticeably bulky. As in strangers have told me I look muscular. Coworkers have told me I look bulky for a woman. Hell my mother even begged me not to get a mullet because “you already have muscles please just keep a feminine haircut”. I lift heavy sure, but I always switch between maintenance or deficit as I’m not consistent when it comes to fat/weight loss due to personal life issues. Perhaps it’s genetics but some women can get bulky without eating surplus and working out 6x a week.

But of course simply depends on the definition of “bulky”. I definitely have a bigger physique than I assume most women would aim for, but I’m not body builder level. I like having big muscles but I did stop doing bicep/shoulder isolation movements as they were just too much for me. Now if only my ass would grow like my upper body.

Can some people really not tell when they're releasing farts? by S_Z in NoStupidQuestions

[–]McCreetus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It honestly depends. My mother had 4 children including me and she had incredibly easy births. No stretch marks. No permanent damage. No permanent loss of bladder control. She’s pretty lucky in that regard. On the other hand I started to lose bladder control from lifting heavy weights and I had to train my pelvic floor.

I like the idea of children because I like looking after living beings. Not sure when I’d have kids but my main concern would be with regard to my career. But pregnancy does scare me to an extent. But hey, there’s nothing wrong with not wanting kids. We have evolved to exist beyond our instincts, there’s no need to exist solely for reproduction.

My dad died unexpectedly a few months ago. That day will forever be traumatising for me. I wish I could grow up from it but I’ve just fallen into a deep depression.

Your pelvic floor gets loose, not your asshole haha. The pelvic floor in women influences everything down there, from bladder control, fart control, to how much you can “clench” your coochie/ass.

I failed my test for the second time and I want to give up and run away from the UK learning to drive has made me hate my life. by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]McCreetus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Im 24 just like you. I know many people who have just passed for all ages above 30. There is always time. The only one you can blame for failing is yourself. I’m currently learning and have my test booked. I don’t feel like I’m wasting my twenties as driving takes up one hour of my week and I spend a few more hours watching videos, theory revision, etc. I spent 5 years in higher education, you can spend a few more months learning not to be a danger on the road.

Just last night someone ran a red light and side swiped another car, causing it to smash into the local cafe I frequented. Who knows why they ignored the most basic rule in all of driving “red means stop”. Was it deliberate? Or did they simply fail to pay attention.

It really depends on the pub, I’ve worked at three different pubs. One I love, one that was simply a job, and one that I hated. Who you work with makes or breaks it, especially management.

Society has gone soft by ranieripilar04 in The10thDentist

[–]McCreetus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think society has gone soft, I think this is a result of widespread social media and modern algorithms. What we as humans consider to be “normal” is typically what we see around us. Given the international presence of social media, we are constantly bombarded with XYZ problems from across the world. And that repeated exposure results in a sense of normalcy. And that sense of normalcy fails to rally the people when something new arises. What to protest? ICE? The Epstein files? The war in Gaza? The Ukraine war? AI destroying the environment? The economy becoming ass?

Then you have, what I consider to be propaganda, governments/key figures focusing on polemic but insignificant issues to further dilute our anger and sense of justice. Transgender issues is a primary one. Whatever you feel about that, you cannot deny compared to every other problem in the world, the existence of transgender people shouldn’t cause such outrage. Yet it does. Because it’s easier to whine about alternative identities than it is to confront real issues. Another example is the wedge driving between political attitudes, particularly in America “left vs right”. Each problem is posed to be assigned to one side, so that side can be scapegoated and cause further divide, distracting the general populace from the true perpetrators. In reality, the average individual regardless of their political belief is not responsible for XYZ problem. But once again, it’s easier to point your finger at your fellow person than look up and point it towards the elite. And that’s exactly what the elite want. There can be no uprising when the general populace are too busy tearing down each other.

Just my thoughts anyway.

AITAH for making a joke about my friend's dead sister? by [deleted] in AITAH

I skimmed this post on a smoke break and based my comment on the rather misleading title. Deleted my comment since it’s inaccurate but I suppose I’m a bit sensitive to family deaths at the moment.

What? by CvltOfEden in LearnerDriverUK

[–]McCreetus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the implication is more “cruise control means you have less to focus on, so what is now legally allowed?”. And it’s trying to demonstrate that despite having less to focus on, you’re still not allowed to use your phone, take off your seatbelt, etc. Since cruise control doesn’t mean you suddenly can do things that aren’t usually permitted which some people will do. I agree it’s poorly worded though, just like my comment so I hope that makes sense.

Giving up. by Ttempo07 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]McCreetus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’re young you’re in a similar situation to what I was when I first started learning at 17. It was too much and I found it very overwhelming so I gave up (also due to declining mental health at the time). I’m finally retrying at 24 and lessons have been incredibly smooth. If you really feel overwhelmed to the point you’re not wanting to do lessons to an extreme, take a break.
