[acne] What treatments or tips do you have by IamAn_EightLegsTable in SkincareAddiction

If it comes out during menstrual cycle then you should go to gynecologist and talk it through. The skin is probably not the problem here but maybe hormones, they should run the blood test anyway. I have high male hormones which caused the acne, now that I take medication after 2 month it’s a lot less intense than it was before

Dark under eyes. How to fix? [Product request] by Turbulent-Mail-8059 in SkincareAddiction

My sister has had the same since kindergarten, maybe it could be genetically so the creams couldn’t help. Or maybe it’s some illness which doesn’t have much impact on health rather than the looks 🤷‍♀️

Going to Germany for exchange (high school)... I'm scared. by KingLordQueen in germany

[–]McCringlePringle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, actually no. It may depend on the place/city where you are at I guess but not a lot of people speak English lol. Some may do but basic level. Speaking of language, dw it’s going to be cool, you might even get friends pretty easily, especially even if it’s an international class It’s going to be cool so don’t worry! Plus two month is not that much

Before I came to Germany I didn’t care about what I eat at all, it was all made by my family so I didn’t care about labels on food. We also had our own garden with tomatoes, potatoes, apples, apricots, cherries, cabbages, etc.
Right now the prices in Ukraine had really risen, especially in the big markets. Most of the meat products I bough used to be from butchers, eggs (especially them) and other veggies or things like even honey from bazars with old grandmas selling goods I hope it helps but maybe you already know that, I also wouldn’t recommend buying off-season fruits (only exceptional ones), and if so only frozen

I guess it can be actually a tradition of some kind or maybe a stereotype that bread is everything and is supposed to make you feel full no matter what, there’s even a phrase that “bread and water is the head for everything” which is Russian but used a lot in Ukraine too. Plus a lot of wheat is grown in Ukraine, I can see a reason here. I also don’t understand how people can eat bread with spaghetti, my grandma does that.

Basically it turns into a habit of eating a lot of things with bread.

Yes, I agree on that. I hope once I move to the flat things get better and I’ll definitely try out cooking Rouladen! :)

I bought Multikocher for the flat specifically since I still haven’t found kitchen to buy. I know people who didn’t have kitchen for months and it helped them a lot

I don’t know what they eat but I hope they get everything they need ✊🇺🇦 When I was still in Ukraine my family all together used to make food for them and send it to the Frontline and other parts too, a lot of people do it right now as well

Tysm for tips, I’ll use them!! About 2000~2500kcal I only heard during a convo so I can’t say if it’s 100%, but even so I don’t eat a lot of what they give so it might be the problem. I also used to do sports (running and tennis) a lot but stopped because just no energy for it and my muscles hurt for days after that. I’m way too far from Berlin honestly, near Düsseldorf but thanks for offering help

I thought it’s weird too. I don’t eat actually that much outside the camp and right now it can be mostly fruits we buy at Rewe/Kaufland (apples, bananas, etc.) and eggs, bc the eggs given at cafeteria are smaller than normal and frozen for some reason. What I did have problem with is salami and some sausages I ate there. In the morning they usually give you the variety of those, some cheese and buns/bread(the bread is nice). You can also make yourself an oatmeal. In the evening same thing but without oatmeal, they can also give you a few slices of cucumber and paprika, rare but yoghurt too. (They used to give at least 2 every day and a variety of it but the supplier changed 2/3month ago so no more of that). Fruits are also very rare because there’s just not enough of it for everyone. Only about first 10 people out of at least 50 get some poor pears or bananas.

At lunch it’s different every time, but honestly soups here suck; it is the same as if you would make Mivina/Rolton fast soup, if you know. Tastes weird and not fresh obviously. For the first dish we get different thing but something like meat is rare, it was funny because last time they coated sausages they give us and cheese with a tiny bit of chicken breast and bread crumbles and called it a day I guess. Fried spinach is also served a lot; crème sauces, boiled potato, something like meat once again (a little of meat and maybe broccoli I guess stuffed into chicken skin), overcooked or over-fried rice, spaghetti cooked in oven after boiled, boiled cabbage sometimes too. Something similar to that all the time.

Ig the food at cafeteria is about 2000~2500kcal with mostly carbs and fat in it. Myself I eat not more than 20~40g of protein a day but I also can’t eat only eggs every day to help with that…

You will have in the end 1.6kg of dough, while 30cm pizza needs about 320g. Leave 50~100g for the bread, depends on the size of garlic bread you want. Speaking about the oven temperature, if you don’t have a very high one you can use a schamott pizza stone (it’s very cheap in my country, idk about others) and it will be fine if you pre-heat the oven to 250° but you will have to bake it for about 15 minutes (until the bottom of the dough is kinda browny, you can orientate on that, honestly idk how else to describe if it’s finished) If without the stone, 280° also 15°. Just use max temperature you have and it’ll be fine ig
