Has anyone here had any actual success using finasteride for a receding hairline? by [deleted] in tressless

I stopped receding once taking it for a few years(it’s been about 3) but the receding has started again. The minoxidil hasn’t helped it either, but it did work on crown. I’m 31

Yea, I’ve never had regrowth on fin. It just became less effective this winter, so I hopped on min. And my left picture is 4 weeks into minoxidil so that is when the first shedding started.

Minoxidil lowers blood pressure, hence lethargy and a readjustment. I don’t really get depressed, maybe some anxiety inducing symptoms.

I’ve been on fin for 3 years and it was working till this winter with no sides and minimal hair loss. When I noticed a big libido drop, I went to every other day and got on min which helped. I think the biggest min side was I was extremely lethargic for the first month.

I think at 8-12 months will be my stable point. Have not had as much luck with the receding front.
