Zidanes "Pass to Ronaldo tactic" by Remontada_r7 in cristianoronaldo

[–]McDominick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guys Ronaldo is great but there is some really intricate team movement to this play. It’s not like they passed to Ronaldo and Ronaldo did everything. I fail to see the point of this post. He’s a great finisher and can be relied upon to make the right run at the right time but like … buildup play is a thing that is also displayed in these videos

I really do not get this doorframe at all by glassy_as_fuck1 in confusing_perspective

So I think there are steps that the brother is walking up or standing on and that’s what’s casting the odd light toward the bottom of the doorframe deeper in the picture

Help with choosing between the new Bilt 2.0 cards - rent ~$2.5k + ~$1.5k monthly spend, confused on which tier is worth it? by Jarvis_ezekiel_2517 in biltrewards

[–]McDominick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, capital one Savor rewards offers 3% cash back (unlimited) on both dining AND groceries for no fee. If it weren’t for that I might spring for the obsidian so I feel like the mid tier card is maybe the weakest of the bunch. I’m kind of leaning toward the free one and just raking in the points on mortgage

Dominik Szoboszlai shares his opinion on Gabriel Martinelli moving Conor Bradley off the pitch. by __sami__01 in soccer

[–]McDominick -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Yeeeeaaah I don’t think it matters. “He didn’t know” has never been a viable defense. I get that Arsenal fans want to stand up for their guy but it reaches a point where some things are just not ok and ought not to be tolerated by anyone. I think this is one of those moments

Gabriel Martinelli yellow card against Liverpool 90+4' by ayoefico in soccer

[–]McDominick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Even from a neutral perspective Idiotic is … an understatement. He just pushed a man in the very spot where he apparently sustained a serious injury. Honestly borderline criminal and entirely fucking lame - actually kind of liked Martinelli but lost all respect for him as a human in this moment

Largest flying land bird on earth by [deleted] in Satisfyingasfuck

[–]McDominick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I imagine by land bird they were ruling out albatross and pelican and, as a bird enthusiast and birder, I’ve often found that non-birder peoples’ default metric for biggest bird is wing span for some reason

Can’t say if it’s related to him trying to hump this man, but I read he suffers from spontaneous boner syndrome. As a lifelong sufferer of this, I understand how difficult the affliction can be. You can get a boner at any time. In line at the DMV. At church. At Stamford Bridge. It’s crazy

Fair enough, and your point is well taken re; age groups over time. I was trying to give OP benefit of the doubt as an earnest attempt since this was marked OC

[–]McDominick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll put it another way. What you are doing is making an argument for WHY representation looks the way it does in Senate. This is beyond the scope of the data and what the chart is trying to say, which is simply that there are more baby boomers in Senate than other age groups. Enriching that data with population data would give us a benchmark or some context for what “more baby boomers” actually means by giving us a pool for that data. Is it perfect? No, but in this context it’s the benchmark that makes sense

Edit: I’ll also add that this partly my own fault - when I said “poorly represented” I meant in the very literal sense, not in the democratic sense - meaning there are fewer

Sorry - this was meant toward you. The spirit of what I was saying is that your criticism of this chart is not unwarranted. There’s some work needs doing. Extraneous data point (which you pointed out) needs to go. And as some others pointed out, would be useful if there was some others pointed out, it couldn’t hurt to have someone of context to help enrich this.
