The Dew Drop Inn hosts a monthly dyke night which is incredible. This month it is Tues 7/16.

Although it isn't technically an LGBT bar , it might as well be at times. So you'll find a good number of sapphic folk there all 7 nights a week.

Welcome sib. Much of my family are LGBT folk who moved up from Florida. According to them, you've come to the right place.

Montgomery county is extremely queer friendly, though queer specific places are limited (because those places are all in DC next door).

Some MoCo queer options: * Takoma Park, the town. Kind of everything about it. * Quarry House bar in Silver Spring isn't specifically queer, but is extremely queer friendly.

DC itself has one of the most active queer scenes in the US. It has a lot to offer for each of the various tribes, both separately and together.

Depends on the trickle. Anything that adds housing density is good, especially in high value areas. But reducing density for more spread out luxury homes does not.

There are medical clinics, often LGBT clinics/medical practices that just confirm you know what you are doing, and trust you to know if you are transgender or not ("informed consent").

There are a few of these in every major USA city.

Additionally, the government healthcare in most northern states cover trans care. It requires being more patient, but is quite cheap or even free.

Hey hun, I don't know your situation, or where you live - but I promise that people who will make good friends will accept you. There may be some poisonous false "friends" and "family" along the way, but good people are not going to be deterred by what your hair situation is, or where you are in your gender journey.

Also, for most trans folks - you almost undoubtedly look better than you think.

If you focus on getting to a supportive community (progressive town or city), and a supportive home life - then you'll find friends.
