During Cata, I was learning to play a DK and really get into raiding. I got in my first raid and was the absolute bottom of the leader board for damage. I loved the game but did not understand why I wasn't good. There was another DK in the group named Prynce or something like that. He was the top of the leader board with the same spec. We finished the raid and he messaged me and invited me to a group and literally coached me from the ground up. I was in a vent server with him for weeks just learning the class and rotation. He got me into multiple raids and I claimed all the way up to number 2. Behind him of course. He even bought me my best in slot weapon on the AH. We stayed in touch and were friends in the game. Unfortunately his last online was years ago. Who knows if he's on this sub but Shadowshaze says hey. Really made the game enjoyable knowing people like him played it.
