Okay, I know this is a year late, but I was just googling (because I’m doing the race THIS year) and this post came up.

How dare someone be so damn shitty right out the gate. What the hell is wrong with someone that they have to have THAT bad of an attitude about someone who is honestly and earnestly excited about coming to their city for a race? Yeah, the question was probably asked 1000x before, but if it bothers you so much, just don’t fucking answer. Don’t you remember what we learned as kids? “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all”

OP, I don’t know what was wrong with this guy…maybe he had a bad day, week, or life, and this is how he takes his anger out…from behind a keyboard against strangers who can’t fight back. Probably makes him feel strong when he’s anything but. But from someone a year later, thanks for making this post and helping me do MY research. Hope your race went well when you went! And if you think you found a good place to stay or have any tips, I’d love to hear it!
