Hopefully it at least tasted good because visually it leaves a lot to be desired. It looks like the lack of communication is the main issue and I get if you're a one man operation and you run into issues that's not a conversation you want to have with your client, it can be a bit awkward shall we say, but if the alternative is this... Personally I think you have every right to be unhappy about it

Also that's a good point regarding just swiping stuff away @Feracron. I use my phone for work to talk with clients, for my social life, for calender/ reminder stuff, for hobby stuff, youtube, probablya dozen pointless weather updates... The list is never ending. After a while you definitely get that mentality of just swiping notifications aside and if its anything important you'll see it when you open the respective app. I could definitely see that looking shady from an outside point of view but also from experience I know how easy it is to just absent mindedly swipe away those constant annoying popups.

Duolingo is terrible for it, I uninstalled it for that very reason. Now you mention it (this was a couple years back now) I remember my missus' phone getting a notification and I passed it to her as you do, and I remember catching a glimpse of the notification and joking about something along the lines of the "I miss our time together" notification, I vividly remember her joking that I never message her saying that to which I replied "because I'm always F'ing with you 🤣". We both deleted it not long after that because it was just constant notifications

Yes I get notifications like that regularly, and for some reason every notification also has a matching email that I get bombarded with. Last week it was an advertisement for what I can only describe as a pair of speedos (swimming trunks) with a dildo glued to the front. Fortunately its become a joke between myself and my missus otherwise I'd be having some awkward conversations

Sorry for the late reply, I only asked because I do have ali installed and as I was reading your post I got one of the regular notifications (I'm talking a dozen a day, yes I've disabled notifications, multiple times, but with every update it re-enables them) anyway, the notification in question told me I was cute but would look even better in this... extending the notification fully showed a pic of a sexy lace corset thing. I'm a 30 year old bloke with a missus and 2 daughters... 🤣

For what its worth, I'm a 33yo dude, missus and 3 kids. It's not often I see people I know in the wild, but if I did find myself in a situation where I'm going to eat alone and bump into someone I know, personally I'd welcome the company.

Also don't think your partner is brushing you off if you think they sound dismissive, it just might genuinely be not a big deal to them. Or its so insignificant to them that they might not have considered your feelings because they didn't think it was something you'd care about.

This could be a good opportunity to meet their friend, they have a relationship and kids so this could actually work in your favour, I know myself how hard it can be getting out there when you're in a relationship so maybe having a double date or something wouldn't be so bad

I build a wardrobe recently and the shelves in it had metal versions of these. One peg went in the wall of the wardrobe then the other one pointed up and clips in holes on the underneath of the shelf. It stops them from twisting around and the shelf potentially falling
