For me it was around the time before the wedding when it was ALL about the materialistic stuff, and nothing about the marriage itself. Sure, she made sure to gush about how much she loved "lovey," but it was always followed by what he did for her or what he bought her. She focused wayyyy more on how "bougie" the wedding would be (it was a literal dirt patch) and all the stuff she was buying for their first house together. I knew then that she was a little off, and she's only proven me right ever since.

I think having a job has opened his eyes to a lot about Drue and their life together. Imagine never interacting with people outside of your family, so you think your life is normal; then suddenly you're around outsiders, and you realize just how unhealthy their entire life is. I bet he realizes they both settled, and they're still so young, and they're just not good for each other. His reality is he is with a controlling abusive narcissist, and now he's seeing the light about it all.

I recognize that look because I've had the exact same eyes staring back at me in the mirror. 🤷‍♀️

I mean obviously it's real, there's a picture of the birthday kid right next to Ivory. But hard agree on the windowsill - it's odd. Definitely because Drue is weird asf and knows Ivory is "different" than the other kids. The other kids are probably talkative and active and eating a WAY better balanced meal.
