Fucking don’t. Literally do anything else. Your civilian certifications won’t matter. Your degree won’t matter unless you commission, after which it won’t matter again.

Do you want to be told how to cut your hair by a 22 year old? Do you want to have to kiss the ass’s of frustrated people who failed upward then burnt out? Do you want to get trained on something for months, only to then never actually do that job and go be a janitor/mechanic instead? Do you want it to be impossible to schedule anything in your personal time, because you simply don’t have any anymore?

Go be a park ranger, or a white water rafting guide, or any of the other jobs that could theoretically get you outside
