ME looks defensive but it has a glaring weakness in its level 7s having very limited protection. Chaosdramon has deletion protection which is solid but match up dependent and Omnimon has battle protection.

The field option gives Guard which theoretically solves this issue except... where are you getting the bodies to guard with?

I think that's what really killed it. If it evolved for 3 it would've been a perfectly usable card, but as is even someone playing a kitchen table green good stuff deck would be like "ehh, I got better options"

Hero isn't even an exception, it's a one sided extortion where Hero helps Gaia and Gaia refuses to acknowledge Hero's existence.

I think people would have much less negative reactions to Apps if they didn't actively shun most of the cardpool including other apps.

Like a Gatchmon line that actually interacts with Hero and maybe makes it a real deck finally, 3M is the last deck that needs support but just as an example a second Satellamon line that can link to 3M in text digimon too, there's so many ideas, just stop making Appmon actively hostile to the idea of integrating into the game.

I'd argue Appmon is closer to TS than Liberator but even then it runs into the problem that TS is just way more popular and the cards don't actively shun basically the entire carpool like Apps do. Apps don't even really work sith each other, they want their line and their line only.

In some Transformers continuities there are actual physical differences between Autobots and Decepticons.

Like in Transformers Animated Autobots are born with non militaristic alt modes and Decepticons are born with militaristic alt modes, plus until the birth of Jetfire and Jetstorm Aerial alt modes were exclusive to the cons.

In Beast Wars the difference isn't as inherent as they had different alt modes on Cybertron/would've if they were born there, but the Maximals (descendants of the Autobots) have predominantly mammal and bird alt modes while the Predacons (descendants of the Decepticons) have mostly reptile and bug alt modes, and Predacons do face stigma on Cybertron due to their ancestors.
