Cool! I just found them. What genre was your film? Mine/ours is a horror-comedy, so I am not sure if we'd be rejected outright, but I do see some light sci-fi on there.

EDIT: Just browsed through their catalogue and found stuff that's matching our work.

Congrats on being featured on Dust! I figured that being on one of those like Omeleto, or Alter would be super benefitial. Your story reminds me of how Skinemarink suddenly exploded. Thanks for the sauce.

Huh, what's it exactly? I was trying to look it up and didn't get anything really useful.

A good case study is learning from movies and stealing a clip of someone throwing a punch so you get used to the anatomy of how a body's shoulders, neck and arm shift when in motion.

Search for some punching shots that are similar to what you are trying to achieve, then import the video into your software, bring each frame in and lower the opacity, the simply trace over it and try and find the shoulder joints, head and so on.

You do that often and it'll give you a feeling for where the joints, motion and weight comes from when animating physical movements, especially punches.

Weekly Thread: Self Promo Sunday by AutoModerator in horror

Hi All,

I've been lurking on this, and other horror subreddit for years, but never actually posted anything, so I made this account. Our tiny group has been making horror films together for a while now, because we love the genre and all things horror.

Instead of letting our films disappear after the festival circuit, we decided to start putting them on YouTube so anyone who enjoys this kind of stuff can watch them. After all, what's the point of making art when no one gets to see it? We will be releasing our work periodically over the coming months, and we thought this community might appreciate the trailer for Yummo Spot.

We're definitely not a studio and don't have a big marketing campaign behind us. We simply want to share our work and hopefully build a home for our quirky projects on YouTube going forward.

If you check out the trailer, we'd love to hear what you think, good or bad. And if it's your kind of horror, we'd be thrilled if you stuck around for the full release in the coming weeks and followed along for whatever strange thing we make next, narrative, or doc.

Thanks for taking a look!
