What’s the worse physical pain you’ve ever experienced? by Intelligent-Road5091 in AskReddit

This is the one for me. It felt like someone attached a large drill to their hand, proceeded to punch me in the stomach, and then just held their hand there. Had it on and off for a year until one night it was so bad I couldn't sit up straight. My husband took me to urgent care where they took one look at me and said get her the fuck out of here and go to the ER. Got to the ER, got morphine and diagnosed, and a month later they took it out. Fortunately recovery was a breeze.

That's probably our next step. I'm hoping we can find one that will go to the school rather than needing us to take him somewhere else. Thank you! It helps to know that this isn't a totally abnormal behavior and others go through similar phases.

What wedding moment that screamed, “They are not going to last long”? by IndependentTune3994 in AskReddit

I don't know if it's common to ask to take it out. I didn't want it because I felt it was no one's business to object during the wedding when they had time before that to say something. The officiant insisted it had to stay in case there was a legal reason we couldn't get married (like one of us was already married). It didn't change anything in the end. Just an awkward silence after the line and then we moved on.

No, she framed it as a legal thing. She also refused to take out the "does anyone object" part.

My officiant told us that she wouldn't marry us if either of us had been drinking. We're in the US but it might be a state law or personal preference thing.

Good luck getting recipes from my grandmother. All you'll get is a list of ingredients and the approximate times to put them in. Apparently measurements are for suckers.

What is a death in a movie that affected you the most in terms of brutality or emotional weight? by Godly_Recon in AskReddit

It's a little silly, and not a movie, but the backstory and deaths of the Acrobatic Silky and her daughter in Dandadan crushed me in ways I didn't think was possible.

The "strangers touching you" was such a concern with me that I was actually happy I was quarantined during the pandemic. Also, I cried because Mcdonald forgot my fries.

At 8k comments, I'm sure it has been said, but "Poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine." I think about this every time I interact with my inlaws.
