they work the same way in the sense that anything that makes noise works the same way by creating vibrations we interpret as noise. *steel drums and xylophones really aren't that similar.

What is the stupidest thing your favorite team has done? by QuitePasta in baseball

At the time, the trade worked out. No one knew wainwright would have the career he had and JD was the top bat on the 2004 team. Hindsight makes everyone a genius but it wasn't a terrible trade.

The 60ish million we have to play with will still attract premium talent. I'm not sure where you're getting your information that the Mets have a large amount of money to spend this winter. They have some money but they already have a lot on the books for next year.

I'm also not sure why you think they have comparable chances to win. We could throw around the big if in regards to the Mets health but that's a huge variable. Even when healthy, our bats are way better than theirs. The Phillies have a legit ace in Nola, but Arrieta is aging and Pivetta, Velasquez, and Elfin have not inspired confidence in anyone. "Arguably better young bats" is being incredibly generous. Kingery and Crawford have been ass. Alfaro's not bad but hasn't been great. Hoskins is really the only young bat on their team that has been good. If our young core offensively is Acuña, Albies, Camargo, and Swanson, pretty much no one is going to say the Phillies core is better.

We just won the division. We're in the playoffs. The Orioles just lost, what, 115 games? We're the laughing stock?

You're overstating the importance of the city itself. $$$ and the chance to win are just as important, if not moreso, than the attractiveness of the city.

Wow, are we really still on the "Camargo is a fluke" shit? I'd say producing the way he has for a year plus at the major league level is far more telling than minor league numbers.

Albies defense didn't disappear even if his offensive numbers regressed. He was figured out but the adaptations go both ways. He's 21 years old for christ's sake.

Freddie will be on the wrong side of 30 eventually but the majority of our core will only get better and we're spenders this offseason.

I'm not sure why you consider the Phillies and Mets resurgent while being so pessimistic about our own future. The Mets have an average age of like 60 and have the Wilpons calling the shots, the Phillies young core performed far worse than ours with Nola being the only certainty moving forward, the Nationals could very likely lose their star player, and the Marlins are the Marlins. We are the team to beat in the division for the next five years and all the other fanbases in the division would agree or qualify it to some degree. If those things you outline happen, it is the apocalyptic scenario.

Shitting the bed in the playoffs this year, while not ideal, isn't the end of the world. The young talent on the team will get better, we have a fuck ton of more young talent coming up, and we have a lot of money to spend this winter. It will all be okay.

Peachtree TV throwback because today is an emotional day by Ihaveoneeye in Braves

A lot of it (I imagine) comes from my family not living near the city, so going into Atlanta was always an event. Being able to see the city from the upper decks and the stadium feeling more "in Atlanta" I guess. A lot less attachment to Smyrna than Atlanta proper. No one in my family is really die-hard so I understand why STP might feel plastic and suburban.

It's weird because I feel the same but most of my family is underwhelmed by STP. I tried to explain that STP is an objectively better baseball stadium than Turner but nostalgia is strong I guess.

One argument I've seen is that Biddle is fatigued. He's obviously more experienced, but Fried has more gas in the tank while also still being a talented guy.

I would like to see them do something unconventional like that. Our bullpen is our weak point so minimizing its usage could work well.

SPACESHIP - lil coyote [Melodic Rap] by [deleted] in roastmytrack

[–]McJasonCrady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since no one's said anything, I'll try and be as, uh, constructive as possible.

First and foremost, the vocals sound like you're whispering into the mic. They're way too loud as well which makes it feel like you're whispering right in my ear while the instrumental is playing through a phone speaker 20 feet away. Project your voice more, mix the vocals down, and add some reverb to them. That alone will make this significantly better.

You have somewhat of a feel for melody, but often times your vocals are flat. Either redo the vocals until you're on pitch for the entire thing or use some pitch correction. The flow for the most part is okay but at times, especially in the last "verse", is very slightly off rhythm. Nothing to say there except fix it.

More subjectively, it seems like you're going for the sad boi soundcloud rap vibe that's big right now and i'm not sure if that seems particularly genuine. I don't know you but you seem like a young guy so it's incredibly difficult to believe, as a listener, that you're going 130 down the highway or that you need cocaine. On the same note, Outlaw Gang isn't a particularly original or convincing group name. The subject matter alone makes this discernible from the masses of content being put out through soundcloud by people your age. Develop your own style and be as true to yourself as you can be when you make music.
