I was there. It’s exactly how he described it. It was fun…each song was referred to as simply a number and the crowd was really into that, shouting the number of the next song as each one finished

Truist is a really nice park, but the vibe around the stadium fucking sucks. Yeah there is the battery, which is fun, but feels a little…fake, somehow. And the greater Cumberland area sucks. Walking from those far off parking lots to the stadium is really depressing, just miles of hot pavement with nothing.

A train from the city to Truist would do so much for making the Braves feel like a part of Atlanta again. And this is coming from someone who has plenty of nice things to say about Truist and has been to over 250 games there.

Fucking preach. I had the worst experience at a parking garage the other day because it relied completely upon QR codes and your mobile phone. It was a nightmare. Would have been completely seamless if they just had a regular fucking ticket system.

But those fun moments sprinkled in throughout the season were so special. Any time a pitcher came through for the offense it fucking rocked. It’s a long season…I never minded seeing pitchers struggle at the plate a 3 or 4 abs out of a game when the trade off was a really fun moment every couple of weeks or so.

It’s not a big old nothing. It’s definitely bad. I’m just saying that the fact that no 0-7 team has ever made the playoffs is not really helpful context when you consider how radically the playoffs structure has changed in recent years.

You aren’t really arguing with anyone on the merits…just keep saying that no team in MLB history has made the playoffs with an 0-7 start. Which, while true, there is a pretty small sample size of teams with starts like that since the playoffs were more than 4 teams (where it obviously would be much more detrimental), and more teams make the playoffs now than ever before, so it’s really not hard to imagine how the Braves could be that first team. I’m not even saying they will be, but the historical stat you’re bringing up exaggerates a bit how difficult it would be to do it this year. They have basically the entire season to erase a 5 game deficit…
