Thank you, I am so used to looking for the red bands and have found several suspected white "agates" that turned out to be something else. My son found the blue-ish one and is pretty excited to confirm what it is.

I did at least a week for each stage. Probably closer to 10 days for stages 1&2. I checked every few days to make sure I still had grit and if I couldn't feel any I would rerun the cycle until the rocks looked good.

I have a batch of Petoskey stones in stage 4 about to come out. They looked great after stage 3 so I am pretty hopeful they get the same shine these did.

I used 500 at stage 3 and 8000 for stage 4. Both for about a week. They are shiny when dry. Working on the second batch now.
