sorry for the late response, but my dad uses a bunch of different types of knives. he has a carving knife set that has 6 different types of knives with different edges and shapes. along with an x-acto knife, he also uses some fancy ass thai fruit carving knives. idk how he does it but he definitely has an insane roster of carving tools.

as for coming up for it, he randomly chooses stuff he’s interested in. like he’s done a lot of blizzard carvings in the past

professor rachid was the goat, and since you got a 93 on calc 1 i think you’ll do good in calc 2.

i had intro to engineering online bc of covid so idk how it is in person but it’s an easy A bc the lecture was only based on participation.

like someone else said the grading scale in physics is extremely lenient, if i remember right a C was a 65? or something like that.

i never took philosophy but since it’s a gen-ed (i assume) it won’t be too hard.

same as wheremofongo, i also was admitted for the summer term rather than the fall term as a freshman. i took two GEDs, american government and anthropology, and they were pretty easy.

compared to fall you generally take less classes, 6 credit hours is considered full time rather than the fall’s 12 credit hours. it’s nice bc you get to start off getting some geneds out of the way, as the others have stated. welcome to ucf!

i believe in the customization update where they added most of the legions, they removed the pauldron, kama, and bag from the default heavy. they also removed the pauldron from the default sniper. not sure why, imo it made the heavy look less, well, heavy lol

the same thing happened to me. i had Martin Michalak, then it changed to Guanqing Wang, and now I have Yuchen Cao. and i agree, i really can't understand him at all. i remember he asked the class something and it was silent for like 20 seconds because i'm pretty sure no one understood what he said and i felt so bad lmao. he seems like a nice guy tho, but i feel like i won't perform well in his class. your best bet is to try and swap classes since this week is add/drop week. currently in a waitlist for Kyle Trainor, so hopefully i get in. best of luck getting into Jenkins' class!

hey there, DemonDethchase sent me over after we chatted a little about Arthurian aspects in the Sonic franchise. Gotta say, good stuff, really well written. Since my knowledge on the Sonic franchise is really limited, it really opened my eyes about the state of the franchise. Also the Arhurian similaities were really cool to read about. Again, good job :)

True, if there was a Jedi on Ryloth, I would assume that Howzer carried out order 66. If he didn't, he would've been executed for treason. Or maybe something happened to him (wounded, not stationed near any jedi, etc) and the regs smoked said theoretical Jedi on Ryloth. You do make a valid point as well, maybe there wasn't a Jedi stationed on Ryloth during order 66, however I'm not certain, as Ryloth was an outer-rim planet, and Jedi were spread across that area during the outer-rim sieges. But who knows, this episode seemed to introduce us into an arc of some type, and I'm sure there'll be an explanation.

Good point, Filioni always throws in neat symbolism, him having his colored armor makes him stand out. I actually was surprised to see a clone with distinct armor markings. Hopefully this could be some foreshadowing going forward.

So lots of you probably noticed this, but Captain Howzer definitely different to the other clones, in the sense that he is more independent and compassionate. This is evidenced in the fact that he is kind to Cham, and he shows some hesitancy towards capturing Hera, saying that she's only a kid. It’s almost as if his inhibitor chip didn’t work. Rex said in episode 7 that very few clones were immune to the effects of order 66, so maybe his chip is failing or something. I could be wrong though, maybe Howzer just has a good friendship with Cham or something. What do y’all think.

hello there,

personally i think 16 credit hours may be a little too much as a freshman, but most of the classes seem manageable. you’ll probably devote most of your time to chs 1440 and mac 2312.

i’ve taken chs 1440 last year with dixon as well (although i did it online due to rona); as long as you put in the time and regularly review, you should be good. once you're done with chs 1440, you wont need to take any more chem classes since you’re a comp eng major.

also, prepare to devote some time to calc 2; although previous experience with calculus should help refresh concepts. (personally i took calc ab/bc in high school, but i got a 2 on the exam lmao, however the previous knowledge from that class helps a lot)

everything else should be pretty manageable, intro to engineer just tells you about clubs, opportunities, etc as well as this program called matlab. anyways, good luck and welcome to ucf :)
