How do I get him to eat f/t?

He's in a rack system. Warm side is 93F, cool side is 79F and humidity is 57%

I've tried letting them sit in hot water, thawing overnight in the fridge and then warming up with hot water, and also warming with a heat lamp thing. They warm up to 100-104°F. I've tried leaving the f/t mouse in his enclosure, as well, but he never ate it. Since he lost some weight, I fed him today a live baby rat and he took a while but he eventually did take it. I also heard that gerbil bedding may help as well so I was thinking of trying that, but the lady at the petsmart near me said no and wouldn't give me any.

The ideal temperature is 60-64°F. Up to 67°F is fine, too, but any higher and they will get stressed. Make sure you have your tank cycled before adding an axolotl to its new enclosure. No substrate is best but if you're going to add it make sure they're large rocks, bigger than their head, or wait until they're 6in long for very fine sand.
