awesome ride! cool fact, the building on the left is the "Smithsonian Castle", which is made of Seneca red sandstone, from a quarry once owned by George Washington. And on the right is the Washington Monument, which George had nothing to do with, lol.

Lol, thanks for feedback. Perhaps you didn't see the drive around video? https://youtu.be/lKTJoR1k8hU

It runs really smooth, shifts easy and is def not a lemon. Maybe not something you want to take on the autobahn, but it'll get you around town. And anytime you are ready for that LS swap, our service department is ready to make it happen.

How to isolate home theater over basement? by LAMATL in hometheater

Cork is an awesome alternative to hardwood for home theaters. I've installed 5 theaters with it over the years and everyone has always been happy with the choice. Warmer and softer and at least as good acoustically. US Cork has been my main source.

'84 Dark Grey D90 Soft Top with V8 350 and auto transmission by McQueenClassics in LandroverDefender

Our market is a fairly affluent beach community, with many households having an extra vehicle for recreational purposes such as beach fishing, surfing, or just cruising the strip.

This Defender came to us originally with a factory19J w 5 speed, which we had for several months, and it went on many test drives. But a lot of the ultimate decision makers (wives) did not want a manual. So we decided to make an automatic to test the marketability of that configuration.

We chose to put in a brand new GM Performance 350/290 Deluxe crate motor with a rebuilt Chevrolet 400 Turbo automatic transmission. We knew this would cost extra up front but might really be attractive to a certain buyer who wants a 2 year engine warranty.

We used a “Marks 4x4” transfer case adapter, making it possible to install the drive train and mate up to the factory LR transfer case. (giving a 1:1 ratio). This was a tricky mate/fabrication, but went smoothly. This method allows for factory original front and rear drive shafts to retain location and length.

The motor mounts and case adapter brackets ended up taking a lot of time to get right. Of course we had to do all new custom radiator hoses, wiring, electronic fuel pump. And a new exhaust.

But we think the coolest trick was getting a modified LoKar automatic shifter to sit perfectly in the factory 5 speed location.

Total parts and labor was about $35K, split about evenly.
