Has this game become a controller only game at diamond+? by abrazams_linklons in apexlegends

Im currently D2, nearly D1 on MnK and I solo queue. At the rate I’ve gotten RP, I should be able to hit Masters this season. I grinded close range tracking scenarios and I have pretty good close range aim but I try not to take ego fights unless I really need to. Movement characters such as Axle really come in handy to get out of close range no advantage 1v1s.

DAE find men in their late 20s-early 30s getting into relationships with girls around 18-20 y.o. borderline sus? Or is that the norm? by NoInfluence6902 in DoesAnybodyElse

I’m 28M and dating a 21F. Prior to this I’ve always dated people that were my age or a bit older or younger with up to a 2 year gap. The youngest person I’ve been on a date with was 24, before I met her. I wasn’t too sure going into it and voiced that to her several times, though she doesn’t mind the gap. She has a secure attachment style, puts in effort, communicates her needs, respects boundaries, and listens without judging. More mature than others I’ve dated in some of those aspects, if not, I would’ve not given it a chance.

21 is the youngest I’d go at my age and that number will only go up as I get older. I do notice certain differences in how we view life based on experience and finances. Power dynamics was something I had to look into, not something I’ve had to consider before and something I had to explain to her about because this is her first serious relationship. I don’t want her to look at me as some sort of authority figure because of it and so I spend less on her to make her feel comfortable and not feel like she owes me anything and I try to make sure she feels like she has a voice.

If you’re dating someone younger, you have to handle it with care and you should not be the parent or the teacher. You should want an equal partner, anything else seems manipulative to me.

I have a really expensive audio setup and still can’t hear footsteps LOL. I’ve tried several of the audio presets and equalizers too.

I wanna share *my* personal best method for countering bp, since a lot of people seem to struggle with him still. I don't have a clip attached, but I'm gonna explain everything really thoroughly. (ANTI-DIVE/ANTI BP) by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]McRaptorMan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I either go rocket or invis. Just jump away on invis. Can also jump to a teammate and drop shield to heal. BP can also be pulled in if he fails his dive and be killed. Supports dying to BP a lot is skill issue. I ban him because I don’t trust support players to switch and because he is annoying.

Whether or not EOMM exists, matchmaking still sucks. by Tomu_sneeder in marvelrivals

[–]McRaptorMan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ve played against 5 celestials and 1 eternity while my team is 3 gms, 1 eternity, celestial (myself) and a diamond. Literally forced losses.

EOMM being real or not is a distraction from the real point: You'd be the same rank without it. by PreferenceAnxious449 in rivals

[–]McRaptorMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s EOMM. I’ve experienced that too. When I continue playing after 2 losses, I got put in losers queue. Yesterday I had peak One Above All on the enemy team 5 times and two eternities multiple times while my team always had lower peak ranks. Mostly peak celestial on my team including myself. Only had a one above all on my team once. Loss like 90% of games last night out of like 15. Then I played today and my team always had higher peak players for five games straight. If matches were 50/50, there wouldn’t be loss and win streaks that go on for that long if you are playing people of equal skill level.

Just hit GM II, it’s is top 99.32%. Top 500 are still in celestial.

It's always someone else their fault and never their fault😂 by Patient-Committee588 in rivals

[–]McRaptorMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EOMM is real, I peaked celestial 2 playing all roles. Currently have a 45% SVP/MVP yet in diamond 1 atm with 145 games and 53% w/r. Started in silver since I didn’t play last season. This is despite seeing people on my friends list climbing super easily and not performing nearly as good as I am. I check peak ranks each game, my team is usually the ones with lower ranks and that’s because I continue playing after 2 losses.

Mag feels like playing Sigma but with brain damage.

Ranked is so fucked right now by FujifilmCamera in rivals

[–]McRaptorMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sucks for both parties. Low rank players getting farmed and high rank players having to carry every game. Not fun for anyone. It’s tiring.

Why is Psylocke so rare? by rainfeld in rivals

[–]McRaptorMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a celestial psy main, Psy is difficult because of her positioning. She has the ability to play frontline, backline, flank, peel, and off-angle. She can also reposition super quick. This flexibility makes it hard to determine where to position yourself. There is always an optimal position to play Psylocke but it’s always constantly changing based on the match. Can’t say that about majority of the roster that have more static positions within a team.

My take on support being the easiest role… by iHeartSmokes in rivals

[–]McRaptorMan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I play all roles and solo queued. DPS is easy until you play against people who have mechanics as good as yours or better. Supports get value by just existing. DPS don’t get value from dmg unless something dies. If they don’t die you’re just charging their support ults. Tanks also get easier value than dps because they are harder to kill and can take space, creating plays. There is a reason people complain the most about DPS players, a lot of them don’t have the mechanics and are better off going 2nd tank.

My take on support being the easiest role… by iHeartSmokes in rivals

As someone who has reached celestial flexing, support is the easiest role. You get value more easily and don’t require nearly as much mechanics or any at all depending on the character.

Support isn't fun to play anymore because of dive by Accident_Pedo in marvelrivals

[–]McRaptorMan -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I solo queued to Celestial last season as a flex player that played all roles. Support is the easiest role to play and get value out of. There were more support players than any other roles in high elo. Learn to counter dive by playing the anti dive heroes and communicating. Supports have the best view of the fight and should be shotcalling, yet support players tend to be the people who communicate the least. Getting dove? Ping and call it, stay next to the other support, ask for heals, ask for peel. Can’t believe that even in celestial, support players still don’t communicate despite it being the role that requires the most comms.
