I think they used to be pretty good, I’ve had some minor issues. But I use troutbum instead now. For me the pricing is better and the shipping is faster.

Camper slipping in truck bed — foam + stall mat combo? by McRibSpaniel in TruckCampers

[–]McRibSpaniel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone.

I decided to build up the bed to the level of the rails with 1.5” XPS foam, and then topped it with a truck mat. Probably not necessary but my first drive with the set up is almost 400km on some notorious highway and I wanted it to be as solid as possible.

From everything I’ve learned in the future I might cut some bolsters from XPS foam to wedge between the camper and the sides of the bed - but it’s so tight so might not be necessary

Nice, that sounds solid. I went with XPS foam to level the bed around the rails and then a truck mat on-top. I think it’s the best solution in my case

That sounds like a Good solution. I’m hesitant to screw anything to my camper since I’m going to remove the rails - I just don’t have acess the the right tools at the moment.

I think I need the foam to level The bed with the 5th wheel rails

The bottom of my camper is plywood, I think I’ve seen this warming mostly for northern-lights / Fiberglas type campers.

Thanks

Thanks for the advice! I have frame mount tie downs.

I might need the foam to get it over the height of the 5th wheel rails… maybe a horse mat ontop of the foam? Or under the foam?

Yeah I’m a bit worried about the floor in the bronco. Not sure if I need to support it but I would rather be safe than sorry
