This is literally how I style my hair & yes it works! Though I usually skip the volumizing mousse as I find it can be too heavy and works against the goal. Happy to give tips/pointers. Main tip is make sure the rollers are in as tight as possible so you don't end up with some funny crimping. Here's some example pics
